  1. New Blood Fundraiser Monday 17th April at Drummonds, featuring: Frightened Rabbit Ghost of Bongo Bench The Orchid Band Los Caballeros Amber The Usuals Calrissian The event runs from 3pm until late. 3 entry.
  2. Outtakes down, #1 hits up. Direct your ears to: www.myspace.com/billelythecatnips 3 sharp cuts from the soon-to-be-released album. There's also a good image to be looked at, if you like that sort of thing. Enjoy!
  3. We do have recordings, but nothing available online just yet. I'll let you know once we've sorted something out.
  4. That would be surf duo Los Caballeros. We are playing Monday 17th April at Drummonds for some sort of student-related fund raiser, I believe.
  5. Bill Ely & the Catnips have three beautifully produced new songs up on Myspace. Tell your ears. These are but a sample. The real songs will be appearing on a CD shortly. Thank you.
  6. From watching Ramones Raw, End Of The Century, Rock'n'Roll High School and just generally reading various pieces of text and looking at different images, I have come to the conclusion that Marky is my favourite Ramones drummer. Besides, Tommy looks like a hippy these days, and Richie looks like a business man. Marky still looks like a Ramone. Ramones Raw bonus footage of the band on Space Ghost Coast to Coast where Marky says 'Hey, a nice chocolate vanilla' = ace.
  7. Holy shit. Antiproduct are very good, and Marky is my favourite surviving Ramone. 10 thumbs up!
  8. There's definitely going to be a new Psycho CD on sale tonight, and tonight only. 14 tracks including unreleased studio recordings, 2003 album demos, radio sessions and some cool live stuff. 4, and nice artwork too. Sneer or cheer, it's your call, jerk.
  9. Good news. More treats to come.
  10. Did you just click it & wait for it to play? Maybe your connection speed is too slow to cope with the influx of hate. Try right-clicking the image and saving the target on your computer. Once this is done it should play fine. If it doesn't, you have to put your computer in the skip and someone will bring you a new one.
  11. Anybody who was at the V8 Death Machine Phase 2 gig in 2003 can take a trip down memory lane by checking out the Media section of the King Liar & the Brutes website: http://www.kingliarandthebrutes.co.uk/Sounds.htm The above offer also stands for anyone who wants to see something that will turn their hair white.
  12. Looks like Guitar Wolf are trying to get funding to make a sequel to the incredible Wild Zero! Check out the News & Messageboard sections of their site for the scant information available at the moment, though it's clearly very early days. Something to look forward to, at least.
  13. Alec Empire collaborates with JSBX & THE MONKS?! http://www.digitalhardcore.com/News_Item.asp?News_ID=185 Surprising news to say the least. Gary Burger will break your back, fool. EDIT: Alec, not Alex. Sorry.
  14. The 'Sounds' section has reached stage one if its development. There are a variety of very early & unusual recordings up there, should anyone feel like hearing something that will change their life: http://www.kingliarandthebrutes.co.uk/sounds.htm Woodwasp is not there. I am sorry. A version of it may surface sometime soon though. 2 of the CDs are available in One Up, namely Peace At Last and Europe's Final Band. The others may be more difficult to get hold of. If you have the will & the strength to PM me your address, I'll post you a copy of Cabaret Rape. Same goes to any other kid out there.
  15. Billy Corgan is a trickster. That said, I would love to see the Pumpkins reform. As long as they actually went back to work & started cranking out music again, not just played greatest hits sets at festivals. Not that the latter is likely. Adore and Machina weren't really that popular compared to Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie. If the reformation goes ahead, will they resume making dark and underappreciated music, or will it be a return to the good old days? I wonder. Probably Billy Corgan will do whatever he likes, which is good enough for me.
  16. More images and music to be added shortly. I am telling you the truth.
  17. You have much to learn. Thankfully, our website is there to teach you.
  18. Are you talking about the 'Golden Black' best-of that is currently only available on import? Or do you genuinely have secret new information that warrants the cryptic nature of your message?
  19. It is true, complete revamp and relaunch: www.kingliarandthebrutes.co.uk Low on colour, high on content. More to be added soon. Enjoy or don't.
  20. UG (pronounced Ugg or You-Gee? I don't know), the new bass wolf, has been on board for a while, since last September at least. There are pictures of him at http://www.guitarwolf.net. He looks young and brave.
  21. I only have 'Popular Favourites', but general consensus is that it's their best album. It's loud, dirty and fevered, I heartily recommend it.
  22. Word is that he died on the 5th November of heart failure and was interred on the 17th. Word has been slow in spreading, at least in English, perhaps due to the fact that he's been living in Copenhagen for the last 20 years? Los Caballeros will be dropping a few more Link Wray covers than usual into our set on 5th December at Drummonds. Check it out if loud guitar & big drum surf/instrumental is your sort of thing. Full details to be posted later.
