  1. This may be an older thread but I need to boast somewhere...guess what I have now? A 400 litre tank I can't wait to set it all up and get fish in. I'm not so thrilled about the thought of the water changes though
  2. Me and Geoff would be up for trying in summer if anyone else is still interested 8) ? Neither of us currently live in Aberdeen so we can't take the challenge until then.
  3. Oh well, maybe I'll try it one day...6 sandwiches, how much would that cost ?( , over 20 im guessing
  4. would mine be counted as a lesser accomplishment for only having cheese and lettuce ?
  5. I could probably manage it in one sitting...but then again I am only 5 foot 6 and only have cheese and lettuce in my sandwiches :O
  6. I have a 70 litre tank with glowlight tetras, guppies and a vampire pleco. Currently saving up for a 300litre so my vampire has a home when he grows up.
  7. I think you'll find most of the girls on here have agreed that if a girl starts beating up a guy then it is acceptable for the man to hit her back to defend himself if he can't restrain her, but only to defend himself, not to beat the crap out of her. In the end when a girl is in the process of beating up a guy or thinking about it, she will have thought about the possibility that she is going to get hit back and she has taken that chance. If she then decides to still do it what can she expect? She's the one in the wrong and doesn't deserve extra rights because she's female. I think the situation is different if a girl strikes a guy once out of anger/emotion, it isn't necessary or justified for a guy to strike back then.
  8. Maybe that is correct...but I think it is much more correct to say that the ancestor that later diverged to form humans and apes was a descendant of this pig like animal so although we did perhaps evolve from the same ancestor that pigs did, we evolved from the original ape like ancestor much more recently...round about 10 000 to 100 000 years ago, much less than 64 million years ago. "*Both are extremely intelligent. *Both are omnivores, eating meat as well as vegetables. *Both are highly adaptable, capable of gentle behavior in a protective environment, while capable of great aggression when forced to fend for themselves." All of those similarities can be compared to apes/monkeys and I'm sure ape organs would be very suitable for transplants if we were allowed to use them. You say that the likeness between fetal pigs and fetal humans is large? Well actually the likeness between all fetal animals is large in the earlier development stages, this is one of the observations that actually led Darwin to coming to his conclusions on evolution. There is only one chromosome that separates humans and apes...our DNA is about 95% identical, the same cannot be said for pigs.
  9. Good books I'm trying to get back into reading...its been over a year since I read a proper book (as much as I love it, Harry Potter doesn't count ). Finding good books is harder that I thought it would be though...Does anyone want to help and recommend books they've enjoyed? The title, author and a brief description would be helpful .
  10. I don't know under what conditions she was meaning, but I think she was suggesting that even with condoms it increases the risks and it's because the cervix/ovaries don't stop developing until the woman is 20ish. I don't know enough about it to comment really , I just thought other people might find it interesting...apparently they don't.
  11. Did you know that the younger you start having sex the higher your chances of developing ovarian/cervical cancer (applies to females only )? I didn't. A doctor informed me of this today.
  12. I hadn't thought of him before you said it, but I'm pretty sure you're right. Read the part of Order of the Phoenix where Harry and the others were cleaning out the house of Black...when they were cleaning out the cabinet of dark objects there was one heavy gold locket that they couldn't open. If Regulus had taken the locket he could have hidden it in his house, but that means that its now been chucked out... either that or Kreacher stole it or Mundungus sold it
  13. I got such a nasty shock when I saw Joe at the start and thought he'd actually shaved his head but it was a nice shock to see a semi topless Rass, he had a very hot chest . It was also funny seeing Joe trying to head bang without losing his glasses, and the greedy guy at the front almost hitting Joe on the head with the gun several times, silly . It was a great gig though , if not a bit short, the Iron Maiden cover was cool . I think I use too many smileys, oh well
  14. *Advanced Higher maths* meh, I like it but some of it does suck...Statistics
  15. I think it's possible. I managed to get an A in Chemistry without doing any work so I think it's possible for anyone to get a B if they work hard enough at it.
  16. what more could you ask for in a program: bodies being cut up AND naked people...wow
