well yeah but thats a completely different guitar graeme. my fat-strat is a mexican. all i'm saying is that i can't get those tricky mex teles to sound good.

hmmm i was going to buy a mexican tele (purely because i couldn't afford the american one) and i tried it out through a marshall valvestate2000 avt-100 (what i use anyway) and i just couldn't get it to sound any good. infact as i remember, it sounded absolute pish. it's way too twangy and tinny sounding. also it appeared that you can't get mexican ones with a rosewood fingerboard leaving only maple as an option (gads). i wouldn't buy one. well.......................................maybe the american one.

right, on les-paul bridges theres like two main bits: a. the bit that the strings go through and lock onto b. and the bit that has the string saddles on it. i recently restrung my les-paul and i think i put the part with the saddles on the wrong way round and the intonation appears to be wrong. hmmmmmmmm so theres 6 little screws that adjust the saddles. which way do they face? towards the neck or away from the neck. currently they are facing the neck. so anyway is it the wrong way around or what? cheers.

not me that's for damn sure.

i have a zoom gfx 707. its aguitar multi effects unit and it has a fuckin quality drum machine built in. also has a sampler and a tuner. only 70 HOLY SHIT! NOW YOU KNOW YOU WANT IT!

yeah but seeing as in my valvestate the valves are in the pre-amp i turned the gain up and the volume almost all the way up on the channel volume knobs. this is because i assume that the post amp is controlled my the master volume. i was attempting to get the most valviest sound i could. dunno but i could be horribly wrong though.

yeah even with my poopy little valvestate avt100 it doesn't sound that impressive untill cranked. i was like totally amazed at the difference in tone between the higher and lower volumes.
