  1. the reason ive heard some people saying that no camping would put people off is rubbish, its a central location, not like in the middle of nowhere like some festivals. Hyde Park festivals etc dont have camping.

I thought it was a good line-up, hadnt bought a ticket but was going to and knew others that would too - seems thats how everyone else thought too

  2. Apologies to the other acts, I couldn't fit you in the thread title...

anyway Escape to Victory are playing one of these Northern Lights festival showcases at Cafe Drummonds this Sunday (3rd July)...melodic hardcore punk rock for fans of Anti-Flag, Bad Religion, The Bronx etc...Welcome to Facebook - Log In, Sign Up or Learn More

also playing are Kinder Garden Graduate, John Best, Mark Byrne and Andrew Brand. Entry is free (I believe)

  3. Thought might be of interest to people on here...everyday this week Amazon are offering downloads of selected albums for 1, today it's Tame Impala's album. Personally, I've never downloaded any album before with the exception of Radiohead - In Rainbows, I've always preferred the idea of owning an album and there is no way I'd ever pay 99p for a song unless it something absolutely amazing that wasnt being released physically...however I think the idea of buying an album download for 1 is pretty fair, good way to try before you buy and I've liked what I've heard so far by Tame Impala. What are people's thoughts? Would you pay full price for a download of an album?

  4. I did it last week.... has it not expired now though?

It was a cheese platter between the 2 of you and 6 beers (third of a pint).

And a bit of jibber about each beer.

yeah but they were fully booked so they let it run over...i presume its 6 each?

  5. Brewdog have declared war on CAMRA as of late, declining to provide them with any beers for the beer festival and instead launching their own alternative beer festival and using a lot of silly stereotypes about the Pittodrie one (despite they were the showcase brewery for it a few years ago)

  6. oh yeahhhhh! I hoped to see him settle his score with Hulk Hogan (though I doubt it would happen, according to Macho Man's rap album, Hulk Hogan is total scared of him) in the ring, or at least drop a flying elbow at Wrestlemania again. I started watching wrestling when he was feuding with Ric Flair (1992) and have fond memories of watching his promos and matches from that time.

  7. you should be able to get 80-100 for Eddie's Archive on ebay presuming its in good condition? (or do you just have the CDs individually?)

I'd have bought some stuff off you but I also have no money I'm afraid

  8. Personally, I think brewdog beers are average at best and are a complete triumph of style over substance.

    xx

Completely disagree, I've drank hundreds of beers and I still think 5AM Saint is one of the best beers I've ever had. I first drank Brewdog before I was aware of any of it's marketing/trendiness when I tried Hop Rocker and The Physic at Tunnels and loved both of them.

I enjoy a lof of British beers (other Scottish breweries Harviestoun and Cairngorm rank high on my favourites) but drinking Brewdog has made me realise I prefer the American style beers (Anchor Steam, Goose Island, 3 Floyds, Samuel Adams)

  9. Completely agree with Lethal10, I've listened to the new album a few times and it has it's moments but was met with absoloutely no reaction from the crowd but they insisted on playing pretty much all new songs. No interaction from the band either and everyone looked bored, as the set went on, I could hear more and more people talking especially on quieter moments even on songs like Flowers and Football Tops. I can't believe they even came back on for an encore, no one even clapped for them. I still can't decide if they were really bad or the crowd was really bad, I think it was a bit of both.
