  1. I posted this under a Best Band that you have played with and it got me thinking..... Who have you met or played with etc in the music industry and local scene and how has it helped you or your band / act etc progress in the Music Industry? *This should also work for band managers / Promoters / agents and all that are based in Aberdeen*
  2. Biffy Clyro / Hundred Reasons / Capdown Played with others too.... Cyclyfly were rubbish & dicks. Cortizone on the same bill were top. Surely this thread makes it look better for Aberdeen bands to play alongside household names (not bands on the record label as such). Then a band can add it to their biog and if they are serious about things then it should help them get out of Aberdeen and progress in the Music Industry. The friends and contacts that I made playing in Dos Dedos have helped me when it has come to progressing as a Promoter/Booker in the industry. ACTUALLY I FEEL A NEW THREAD COMING ON
  3. Same night as Nine Black Alps. May have a support slot on that bill. Still waiting to hear back from the Agent regarding some other details. Hmm... Aberdeen really isn`t that important in the big picture.
  4. Half of the tickets have now gone. Not bad for a week. Expect a sharp upturn again on Wednesday when there "should" be another large NME ad. Just thought you may want a heads up. www.moshulu.net for other gigs.

    Hype?

Red By Choice! Most hyped band in Aberdeen EVER! Were they any good? Who cares First gig had Exodus almost SOLD OUT and people going crazy. Hype is very very important in the whole music industry nowadays. Hype helps to have a constantly rejuvinating new music scene. The down side to this is that a band can end up being booked to play the SECC based on 1 single when the previous tour was at the Barfly in Glasgow. It means that bands no longer mature and seem to hit it big on their third album. Snow Patrol being obvious exceptions as there are always exceptions.
  6. Tickets are back on sale online. You lucky people!

  14. Cash Machine was the first single out at the start of the year. It`s been on the Bassment MP3 server for the duration since. Hard Fi recoded an EP last year and then signed to Warner Bros / Altantic..... I forget which.
  15. They have 3 singles A 9 out of 10 album rating in the NME and top 10 album
  16. They`ll still be onsale for a couple of weeks yet. There is always a massive boost in sales when the NME comes out People are now buying Aberdeen tickets from other parts of Scotland as the whole tour is almost sold out!
