  1. I haven't read any fiction for quite some time now but i'd quite like to start again. was wondering if anyone could recommend a good book to start on. I don't fancy any sci-fi or fantasy and the last book i read was fear and loathing. any suggestions much appreciated.

  2. Would you not agree that some movies *have* to be seen on the big screen for the full cinematic experience?

on odd occasion i'd agree that being in the cinema can add to the experience of watching a great film but i'm quite happy to watch a dvd on a decent quality cd with decent speakers. i can see how some people do prefer the cinema experience though, kinda adds to the spectacle I guess.

  3. hollywood cinema's been in decline for quite a while now.

i haven't been to the cinema since star wars episode3 and I'm sure I can't be the only one who thinks it's a complete waste of money. even if you do manage to get tickets for a reasonable price you get charged ridiculous prices for food and drinks. Granted it's not the cinema's fault that they have to charge so much but that doesn't make it any less of a piss take.

I'll probably watch most of those films, except it'll be on DVD in the comfort of my own home, with no little wankers making a noise throughout and I'll still be able to go for a few pints with the money I have left over from the rental.

  4. x-certs are playing at the tunnels apparently (should be good)

if you're in glasgow by then I'd recommend the art school or maybe try and find out where the tunnel party is going to be. I'm sure there'll be one this year and you really should go if you haven't been to one yet

  5. "Hes big

    Hes scouse

    he probably robbed you house

    wayne rooney"

"If Heskey plays for England, so can I

If Heskey plays for England, so can I

    If Heskey plays for England

    If Heskey plays for England

If Heskey plays for England, so can I"

"You're Shish, and you know you are,.. You're Shish,.."

Chelsea Fans to the Turks (Galatasary Fans) at Stamford Bridge

As Arsenal come out at Leicester

'Who let the frogs out, who? who? who? who?'

Sung by Chelsea fans after Frank Leboeuf informed fans he'd rather they didn't use bad language in their tribute to him...

    "He's here, he's there,

    We're not allowed to swear,

    Frank Leboeuf, Frank Leboeuf."

    "He's bald,

    He's sh*t,

He gets a game when no-one's fit,

    Pascal Cygan! Pascal Cygan!"

apologies if any of those have already come up.

  6. Mourinho is a genius: the press could quite easily go on about how shite his team is, but they'd rather speak about his post match interview instead. Clever bugger.....

i think you've hit the nail on the head there. it's a tactic that deflects a lot of the pressure away from his players and onto him, and as he's not actually playing he's in a better position to deal with it.

shame he's still a fucking cocksucking motherfucking prick... I'd like to see the arrogant cunt hung from the floodlights at old trafford by the end of the season

  7. if Mad Dog is unavailable at most supermarkets (which I'm not even certain), it is definitely available at the Evening Express newsagent on King Street - directly opposite the side of Morrison's. I've never tried the stuff, or its cousin Buckfast for that matter.

it still features heavily in most point of sale displays in just about every 24hour shop in glasgow, along with Buckfast, which you really must try:up:

  8. I've often wondered exactly what beta testing is and how it works and was wondering if anyone here might be able to shine some light on the topic?

Am I right in thinking it involves getting members of the public to test software while it's being developed? is it the same as play testing? finally, how would someone who was interested get involved with such tests?

I ask because with Halo3 looming on the horizon I wouldn't mind testing it out before it hits the shops...

  9. think things went quite well for my boys today... goals for saha, ronaldo and kanu and an assist for ronaldo. now... just need arsenal and chelsea to pull a goaless draw (fat chance) and Villa to keep a clean sheet against sheff utd on monday.

  10. the bouncers at exodus really are some of the worst I've ever experienced. Whilst never suffering any physical problems from them (they stick to verbal abuse with me) I have witnessed people being handled in the ridiculous ways. the worst I've seen was a guy being bent over backwards by one guy whilst being choked by another. Other ridiculous situations include ID'ing people who're blatantly over the age of 21, never mind 18 whilst allowing 16yr old sluts into the club and nearly snapping a guys arm behind his back whilst he screamed "ok ok I'm gonna leave just please let go of my arm!" I understand that they have a hard job to do and that clubs do need doorstaff but that lot are far too heavy handed.

It'd be nice to be able to report these cunts to the management but I doubt it'd do any good. I'd much rather get a lynch mob together and kick the living shit out of them one friday night...

  11. have i missed something here?

are you complaining because you put a link to your music in a couple of threads and not many people liked/replied it?

Then when you started a thread based on a completely different subject (one that will always be certain to get a lot of heated debate going I might add...) and lots of people started replying, you felt that it was a case of people discriminating against the fact that you're a disabled synth player who doesn't have a myspace page?

if this is the case then I can't believe you've even taken the time to try and orchestrate such nonsense.

I certainly didn't know you were disabled before i read this. Sadly I still didn't like your music. Sorry if that upsets you but if you wanna be a musician you really need to learn to take criticism and not dwell on the fact that not everyone likes your music. As someone said earlier, be thankful that 3-4 people do like your music, it gives you something to build on.

    honestly...
