  2. I would say the dip is luck, cause it totally comes off his shin! One of those lucky moments! Its a great goal for sure, but Scholes' volley against Aston Villa is better!

don't remember the scholsey one. got a youtube link?

  3. Jump in the air and ball whacks off your shin?! That goal was most overrated goal of last season by a mile!

having just watched it again I can safely say that it's no fluke. I'm not even convinced it hits his shin and you certainly can't put dip like that on a shot by accident.

    you're just wrong:up:

  4. dont see what the big fuss about the messi goal is all about (the lob against mexico i mean). yeah it's good but chipping isn't exactly the hardest skill to master in football.

how bout dhino's modified bicycle kick against Villareal?

or Van Persie's super volley against Charlton?

Crouchy scored a belter of an OHK last season too.

Messi's Maradona run is a killer (and scarily similar to the big man's)

But my winner has to be the 26 pass stunner from the Argies at the last World Cup. Pure genius. The ultimate team goal in my opinion.

  5. If it was a little bit I wouldn't be fussed but if you refer to the original characters this has changed it A LOT. Why not just create a whole new thing than murder something that already exists?

Well in the case of transformers it'd be tough to create something new based on the concept of fighting robots that can transform into a variety of different vehicles without it being labelled as a rip off (or copyright infringement), wouldn't you agree?

I do see where you're coming from though. I'm a big fan of the original too, I've just kinda come to accept that this is what Hollywood does these days: Instead of writing new scripts from scratch they latch onto a story (comic, novel, videogame etc) that already has some form of fanbase. In one sense it's a shame but the other way to look at it would be "Well there's already a pretty fucking awesome Transformers movie that's been around for ages. Now there's Hollywood's interpretation of the story which is different in many ways, some good some bad."

I dont really know where I'm going with this to be honest...

  6. surely if people are so fussed about the film sticking to the original storyline they'd be better just watching the originals?

i don't see why the fanboys have to get so up in arms every time a film comes out that changes details from the original a little bit. Personally, i quite like seeing how different directors/writers/artists etc handle the same subject matter.

    just a thought

  7. TEVEZ TO MAN U ?????

few newspapers today are reporting man u have arranged a deal for tevez. if this is true fuck me they are going to be good pounditupdatedtz3.gif

Fergie signs Tevez | the Daily Mail

United close in on Tevez as Ferguson leaves rivals in the shade - Times Online

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Man Utd | Man Utd close in on striker Tevez

i've been hearing about this as well. doesn't seem like the most logical of purchases to me, he's very similar to rooney in how and where he plays on the pitch. surely utd would have more use for an out and out striker/poacher in the mold of Van Nistlerooy or eto?

I'm much more excited about the prospect of seeing Torres in a liverpool shirt I have to say:up:

  8. Can anyone give me the names of record stores in Aberdeen that specialise in Vinyl LP's and would possibly buy 2nd hand vinyl?

I recently inherited a massive stack of records and as the music's not really my cup of tea I was hoping to sell most of them to fund my summer festival jaunts.

I'm already aware of the Cavern but I'm not too sure if they'll be interested in the stuff I've got. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

  9. my major issue with chelsea is the hideously ugly brand of direct football they play. Say what you like about it being effective and them winning trophies, that's fine but they still play fucking ugly football. Utd are world renowned for playing fast paced, attractive attacking football and for that reason I'd pick them over those posh London pricks every single time, and I'm a Liverpool fan.

Also, it is true utd have spent a lot of cash on players, but the majority of those players have been worth it. Ok Veron was a massive waste and I'm not convinced by Hargreaves yet but Vidic has been amazing this season. Carrick had a shaky start but has more than proved his worth now. Ronaldo, Rooney and Van Nistleroy have all proved to be inspired purchases, even if they were expensive.

Compare that with the massive waste of money spent by Chelsea on Sheva, Ballack, SRP, Boulahrouz and Obi Mikel and I think it is quite evident that Mourinho has significantly more money than sense at his disposal. In fact the core squad (Terry, Lampard, Cech, Cole) were all bought by Ranieri. The only real quality I've seen him introduce has been Essien and Drogba. Plus he's a cunt with a shit attitude and this has rubbed off on many of his squad.

In essence, I dont like Chelsea because they play shit football, have a disgusting arrogance about them at all times and are prepared to waste vast amounts of money on players that bring nothing to their squad.

    rant over :swearing:

  10. I'd say you should become an hero, but you being around makes her want a real man all the more, so keep fagging it up emo bitches, I'll keep that ♥♥♥♥♥ warm while you're crying in the corner.

Actually just shat myself laughing. Thing is I cant decide if it was at you or with you...

  11. slightly concerned by Eck's decision to play Miller instead of Boyd alone up front. It's just a shame that in a game like this we have no choice but to lose a forward in order to add the security of an extra CB/holding midfielder. I just hope we dont sit 10 men behind the ball and try to play for a point instead of going out there with confidence and playing our own game.

but like RossP said; Whoever gets picked is going to get my full support (as they should). For some reason I've got a good feeling about tonight...

  12. Clothes which are covered in daft symbols, writing, images, rips? no thanks!

    agreed...

I like it when i've had my clothes long enough that they start to fade/tear/sag but why in the name of god would i want to buy a pair of jeans that are shredded already for twice the price of a normal pair? same goes for t-shirts with pre-faded graphics.

I just go to charity shops :D

  13. Having said that. a console is only as good as it's games ans I would contend that the PS2 kicked fuck out of the XBox in that respect. Will the new machine do the same to it's 360 counterpart?

sorry to be arsey but that's complete and utter bollocks.

On a star wars related front; was KOTOR not a PC/Xbox exclusive last time? I dont remember ever seeing it for PS2. I'd imagine that could be an important factor in your decision... but then, Force Unleashed does look pretty special too.

Price wise, you'd hope that PS3 might have dropped a wee bit by the time you move so the prices might be more similar.

One last thing. Halo3 isn't gonna be on PS3. think about that. really think about that.
