    Primus

I saw the freakiest video by primus yesterday, for *somones* big brown beaver (or something similar). That actually sent shivers of fear tingling down my spine. Was a bit of a naff song though.

    Korg AX100G

I'm thinking of letting my AX100G go (partly because i can never figure out how to work these things and as such amn't really getting all i can out of it and partly because money is tight). There's some info on it here: http://www.musicgearreview.com/quicktakes/korg-ax100g.htm Was just curious if anyone would be interested in putting in a bid for it? Leave a reply or pm me if you are. Thanks, Andrew [Edit:Forgot to say it's boxed with instructions and also an adapter.]

    Incubus

Yes, you are. Anyways, could anyone post up the setlist, or something of the likes so us less priviliged (see what i did there?) souls who wished we were there (oho and again?) could try and imagine the whole experience?
  4. There will be 16 tracks apparently, at least that's how many have been recorded and mastered, whether they will all make it onto the final album i dunno. LSHO should be on there but they did say stux and scared of... won't be on. The two certainties are Stuck in my throat and Freddy Kreuger, because they are singles I'll try and find out the other tracks as i'm curious now. What do you think of the name 'Racecar is Racecar backwards'?
  5. If it's still dampening the tone try switching it's postition aroudn with your other pedals. There is supposed to be some kind of order to the way tehy should be set up in order to get the best sound though i can't remember it off the top of my head. The results can be surprising for something that simple. Hope that might help a bit anyway.
  6. Dang, only caught the first two songs in the end but they were pretty damn enjoyable
  7. What time will the second set be on? Just so i know so i can run back to my car to hear it
  8. Shit, is that them going on now?
  9. Does murray believe in Ghd?
  10. Ah that explains what i was seeing on the webcam, was getting all in a panic i missed something there. So the x-certs will be on at around nine right?
  11. Fancy delaying the rest of the x-certs set till it goes back up? :O
  12. Screw it, i'll hijack my dads car and drvie into town, that was i might get a reception
  13. Yeah i can't get any access to the online streaming, going spare here.
  14. The online streaming is working alot better this year i'm finding (last year i couldn't get it off of the site). However the launch in seperate window thing isn't doing what i think it should be doing.
  15. The band only keeps a portion of the money that they get for each ticket, otherwise the venue would be making near to no money. So what you probably recall is the band paying back some of the excess money they had for each ticket sold but they still get to keep some of the money for each ticket (which they get given for free aslong as they can account for all of them at the end, by either returning or paying for them with the money they got from who they sold them to) so effectively they're not paying to play, but getting a slice of the money from people who bought tickets via them.
  16. So who's all going tonight? Got to say the local support is a fairly ace line up and what i heard by the headliners was good. So, yeah, who's coming along?
  17. Just curious but why only over 18's? I can see why they wouldn't be able to work at the box office selling tickets to 18 movies, i've accepted that, but why wouldn't they be allowed to work at the popcorn or pic'n'mix stands or check tickets or even cleanup in the cinema?
  18. It's nice to see that in remembering the dead you remember their downward spiral as opposed to the triumphs they had and lasting effects they left in the world. This doesn't just apply to this scenario.
  19. Pretty much what Adam said, plus in some venues you need to bring your own equipment and if you don't have anything that's stage worthy that means renting or borrowing and that can mean money so by being paid the band can at least cover any expenses they may have. Plus how else do some bands get the money to record demoes and the like, unless all are working and have money to spare gigging is the only other way to make money for your band's purposes.
  20. Well they distribute the cds that they make all over the country and have them submitted to radio stations for airplay. Would that make them a 'real' record company?
  21. We recorded there back in febuary 2003 and then it was about 25 an hour. As far as experience goes i would say it's worth the money as long as you spend enough time there, we only went in for 5 hours or so and had to rush through everything (3 songs in that time may have been a bit optomistic) so we wouldn't have gotten as good a results as we could have had we that little bit extra time. Niall was a class guy all the way, tried to help when he could and was honest. Not to mention how he managed to fix my guitars intonation with a fork. Never been to exile before. Some of the stuff came out sounding good, such as the Alyssa's wish Opal demo. Your call.
  22. Both have there's pros and cons i'm sure, both have produced quality recordings. I guess it just depends on whether you know what you want when you go in, are able to communicate that to the engineer and also be open to their suggestions (they are professionals after all). I think i'd probably go with Tom's, again for the atmosphere. Plus they you can get a block booking deal at bargain price if your times are felxible.
  23. Saw the No Pints, wasn't terribly impressed but they weren't awful. The bassists vocals were a bit over powering of the lead vocals and would have been better lower down in the mix. Would be interesting to hear them in a month or so see if they improve. Point did not disappoint, again. I've only really caught Point since their comeback gig at Drakes and each time i've seen them they've been better and things have been improved and/or added. Last night for example the addition of a third vocalist worked really well, the three way harmonies came off without a hitch and added more to the songs, was very impressed by vocal performances alround. On that note of vocals... Broken Sunshine: o_O ...that's all i can say. (Edit: Oh, that and the song 'You suck' did entertain me but for purely ironic reasons) The Cuts i didn't see last night but did catch at the Lemon Tree back on valentines day. The vocalist could sing well, no doubts about that, however the songs were dull, unoriginal, repetitive and had the same effect as a mild sedative.
