  8. I'm loving it, pretty much the first 9 or so tracks are awesome, the last two i amn't so keen on. Like josef k i thought this was going to be crap based on G&T and MRI singles, but, i dunno, i actually love them on the album. Maybe just hearing them in their full context or something like that. Not to mention 'the atrocity' and 'some kind of wizard' which are just fantastic geared up for the gig now
  9. Is there any chance for some one to put up the stage times as i can't get there till after 9.30 and would like to know what i'll have missed and still have to see. WOuld be much appreciated
  10. is the link working for anyone else?
  11. Hey, i've just got myself a slide and i'm struggling to find good pointers or examples for how to play with it. I seem to be able to use it properly except i just don't know anything to play with it. if that makes sense. So any pointers or examples of how to use it or what kind of things to start playing on would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
  12. If you PM Porter you'll get Rach from Norman's Fetish
  13. I think, though i'm probably wrong with this and will be corrected shortly, that those chords are in the key of E. I'm not too sure but i think it is. Best bet though is to wait until someone else tells you...
  14. *scribbles the word fudge onto his hand*
  15. Dan atom/weapon/loaded dropped is lucozade just outside of hmv yesterday. i saw him. from afar.
  16. What's the cd's tracklisting?
  17. woohoo, may finally get to see them this time round then And as far as this is concerned: Call in the x-certs. You know that's going to be a gig and a half with biffy and them on the bill
  18. I'm not exaclty saying anything that hasn't already been said but here goes... Norman's Fetish - Was thoroughly impressed by the ladies that night. Was pretty much solid all the way through (apart from one song i didn't really like, but that's just me) and there were some of the most amazing vocal parts going on that i had heard in a LONG time. The second and last songs were highlights for me personally, that and the moment in the opener when rach held the night for nigh on an eternity, *insert gob smacked smiley* - t'was ace! The 44's - Proved themsleves to be one of the best unsigned bands in scotland at the present time with a set that just didn't give up the pace all the way through. I was standing behind a couple for some of the set at the stairs, and when everyone sang during 'evening press' one turned to the other and mouthed a 'wow' - which kinda says it all really. Howard's Alias - Who are these people? Norman? Howard? is Howard's alias Norman inorder to avoid revealing his fetish? (you can see where i'm going with this) Anyways, i only caught some of their set as i became engaged in conversation upstairs and didn't realise they had come on. But i'm not sure what i heard really appealed to me. The guys voice was good, the playing was good, the songs were probably good (i can't currently remember) but i felt the final presentation equaled less than the sum of it's parts. Plus the lead singer didn't really seem to be boiling with charisma in between songs, which was a let down considering the energy of the support acts. Overall it was a dandy evening in total, with one of the strongest supporting line ups i've heard in a while. 5 was still a bit steep but left feeling pretty darn happy.
  19. I'm particularly fond of 'the groove' by muse which was the b-side to time is running out, very cool track in my opinion
  20. he actually asked how much before he asked about the fingerboard, there just isn't a question mark
  21. on a biffy related note-who caught them playing There's no such thing as a jaggy snake on radio one recently? the studio version! ooh it was gooood. Apparently it's going to be a download only single avaialable form the website on may 31st. So i'm hoping for the album soon after that Any thoughts?
