    Contra...

Second time, actually. Yeah, 2 little birdies told me about James. That should be hella good! Are we talking like older than Punktuality?? I'm intruiged now.

    Contra...

*Nods and agrees* Last night was a total treat after the pishy sound at The Moorings the other week. A fine replacement for Misled Youth not playing. (And that band Quik weren't too bad either. Point Blank, omfg, rock on!!!) Contra never fail to satisfy, they should be huge! The EP is fairly decent, well worth 4. I look forward to the next one.
  3. ....So, it's tomorrow night. Rumour has it it's gonna be awesome!
  4. Anyone else confirmed? Yeah, why not have bands more of their own genre? I mean variety is the spice of life after all but the majority of people at the shows aren't going to appreciate/ enjoys bands like DCFC. They should take NFG and Sum 41 on tour again.
  5. Indeed. What other better way to cheer everyone up from this awful weather? I can't wait! 4 more sleeps!! So be there, OR ELSE...
  6. Yeah they were pretty damn good but if I remember right, I had enough 'Gay Bar' to last me a lifetime!
  7. I need to ration my money. Is there any sort of "big" band playing last?
  8. Oh cool, I forgot about those pictures. Thanks for using them. Indeed a great pic of Milner. I need some photography advice......
  9. Makes sense to me. Janine's a bit of a queer. And get this, Patty from Flight 19 is on the computer right opposite me and I'm whispering to my friend about him. Mmmm, celebrity...
  10. Actually, don't bother Maxi you knobjockey. There's no question surrounding who's got the talent. Orwell would just make a fool of themselves. But yes, pretty pretty please, but only once you have lessons from Danny!
  11. Oh my word, rock!!!!! That's ace! You bring that noise right back up here!
  12. Hahaha, good 'een. I've seen both Soul Doubt and Orwell... you do the math.
  13. I have a new friend in the form of The Vandal's lead singer Dave Quackenbush's cousin. I win!
  14. Every gig I've been to at Moshulu - around 8 or 9 now - the atmosphere has been dead. Even if the bands play fantastic, it's still crappy. The sound is always dodgy too. Take 10 Easy Wishes on Monday night... the sound was awful and it made the set sound really bad. And having a bunch of people down at the front doesn't seem to make a difference in my ears. Whenever I hear a band I want to see is playing Moshulu, it's just like *sigh*, yay.
  15. Yeah, bring in the Maxi! Good luck to Ross for the future:)
  16. Right, you WILL give in to crowd pressure! Folks, please sign below, and I say after 20 signatures the song has to be played. Even just at one gig. Amy T. x
  17. It makes good reading but to be honest, I don't know why Jonny Lucifer bothers. God knows what he's trying to get out of his constant nit-picking that I'm pretty sure doesn't particularly bother MMW. I'd rather be interested in my own band than the goings-on of someone elses.
  18. Phew. That ends the rumour of 20 for tickets. Is that the line-up back to front? I can only come for a little while.
  19. Cheeriest gig in a long long time! Norman's Fetish sounded so much better than they do at Kef, so that was a big plus. They put on a fine show once again. Misled Youth... you've gotta love them. I'm sure they're sick of seeing my face now but every show seems to get better and better. And I was so chuffed that there were a lot more people there than usual when they play. Van Halen... Smashing baby! As for the SupaTones - I know some songs that'll get on your nerves, get on your nerves, get on your nerves. I know some songs that'll get on your nerves, get, get, get on your nerves. Party ska overload. But yeah, they put a smile on everyone's face. Well, except from Nick from the Hex Pens... he really was not impressed! Overall, a lovely evening.
  20. Yeah, that was Evening Spread. but the crowd have sung it way louder before! I was talking to Timmy today about Howard's Alias' singer. I totally agree about it being intimate, even chilling. It was great. And you're right about the emo stylings that fitted in all the right places. They striked me as being a more tame version of the RX Bandits which is nice. But yeat again, why did a heap of people leave after The 44's? Do people not want to get the most out of 5? People are willing to watch the same local bands - or ones that are often up here - over again but show no interest or respect for bands that have bothered to travel up here. It's not as if gigs at Kef finish late - I managed to get the second last bus home. And standing upstairs... that's just as bad.
