I wish it would stop - our roof has developed a leak.  Thanks, Frank, you dick.

One of our back windows started leaking during last weeks first load of rain, fastest I've ever re-caulked a window in my life!

  3. I don't have a problem with the marketing, the hype, the shock value (ethics aside and mass consumerism being the polar opposite of punk), I do have a problem with their beer being shit though. That's personal opinion though, others can obviously like what they like etc.

I thought the venue was SNAFU, which was hardly a mid-sized venue, unless it's had a major internal redisgn the stage was in a less than optimum position for maximum crowd coverage. Anyone in the know with details, I don't get out on the casual as much as I used to.

What happened to Wesley Sneijder's brother that they signed and then released a month later?

He played one game, realised how shite we were and got Hep C or something and fucked of back to Holland to live in a caravan with Marco Boogers (or some other mythical football malarkey).

Are we all in agreement that Dundee Utd are completely fucked and definitely going down?

I haven't seen much of them this season, but when I have they have been woeful, but for the guy Blair Spittal who looks like a good player, and Charlie Telfer at times. Are they just too young a squad?

I know there are some United fans on here so looking for a bit of insight into why it's gone to shit. Was it Jackie McNamara's fault? I hope so. Is Mixu the right guy? I hope not.

It all stems from the sales between January and September (Armstrong, Mackay-Steven and Ciftci) and not renewing a couple of players contracts (Czerniak and Fojut). The whole spine of the team went in less than a year and threw any gelled squad out of the window. The signings, while decent in the most part, haven't started playing together and the talented players (Connelly, Spittal and Telfer) are too young to shoulder the burden of sparking the creativity of the squad completely.

That coupled with the fact that Dillon and Rankin have been hiding all season and Paton had that court case hanging over his head meant that Jackie Mac unjustly got the dunt IMHO. Now we've replaced him with Mixu, who seems intent on sapping any creativity out of the team in favour of playing 6 defenders. I would maybe be at peace with that decision if we weren't being scored on like cheap hookers during happy hour.

Shite season is shite. Fully expecting Championship football next season.

£175.  Absolutely as new. Bought it even though I have the TVP 260 as it is set up permanently in a studio. Wifie won't let me play it as it is too loud so up for sale at a bargain price. Bought from R&B around 18 months ago and switched on around 3 times before the wife went ballistic.   Seriously good amp and a great bargain !  If it doesn't sell then see ad for Wife For Sale.

How many times has the wife been switched on and is she "as new"?

Does anyone watch The Leftovers? I got through the two seasons quite quickly in the last couple of weeks. I'd only rate it as decent, worth a watch but it seems like there are many people (online at least) who think the second season has turned it into the best show on tv.

Yes, I thought Season 1 was ok, didn't see it getting a second series but when it did I thought I'd keep watching. 2nd series is leagues ahead of the 1st, it seems to have grown considerably into its story. Fingers crossed it carries on like it is, not even sure if the 3rd series has been greenlit?

Something that's really ripping my knitting right now is the relative prices between hard copy and kindle books. In a lot of cases, especially with new releases, there's next to no difference, and a lot of the books are actually cheaper on hard copy than kindle! how is that possible?!

Part of it is 'cause we have to pay VAT on eBooks whereas there's no VAT on paper books.

Anyone been watching Catastrophe? I really like it. Howling with laughter at times. It's a little bit guilty of using shock crudeness in the place of humour on occasion but it gets away with it.

Yes, my wife and I love it, I think there's bits of us in the characters and thats what makes it hilarious for us.

  10. The new Grimes and Rustie albums are both great. Rustie's especially is a nice return to form.

I'm not sure about the new Grimes album. I really, really want to like it but it's not ticking the boxes for me at the moment, I will persevere though, hopefully it's a grower.

I loved her single "Go", if the album had been mostly like that I'd've been all over it like stink on a monkey!

  11. 'Happy birthday Gran. She would have been 74 today. She would have also been on facebook posting this majorly groundbreaking and inciteful article about islamophobia today. Wake up sheeple. By posting this i'm showing how in-the-know I am on such matters. It doesn't matter that the 'article' i'm posting is literally just a screenshot of a tweet by someone i don't even follow with a clickbait title, riddled with pop up ads, created with the sole intention of generating traffic by latching onto a major event'

    Hah, so true, so true.
