I've never had any bother on eBay. Minimum whompers. Everybody has always paid on time, only a couple people kicking off because the item wasn't as described when it arrived, both times because I didn't wrap it properly and it got damaged in transit.  I've generally never had any problems selling gear, only once, a guy got in touch with me on Gumtree about a guitar I was selling, he was in Edinburgh, we agreed prices and I agreed to drive down to Dundee to meet him halfway, then when I met him in Dundee he turned into a tyre-kicker and started trying to talk the  price down. One of his arguments was "I've spent £40 on petrol to get here and back" . Firstly so have I, secondly that in no way affects the value of my guitar, cunt-lugs. I ended up giving it to him for about €40 less then we agreed, then me and my friend on an impulse drove down to T In The Park, spent all the guitar money on two single-day tickets from a tout (I paid for hers too), got to the gate, got told they were fake and saw them torn up in front our eyes. Got back in the car and drove back to Aberdeen with no money, less one guitar, and having spent the price of a tank of petrol to drive to Perth and back. BEST DAY EVER.

DUNDEE UNITED FANS: Talk to me about Robbie Muirhead.

What's the deal? Tipped for big things at Kilmarnock, signed for Utd for a reasonable chunk of cash (£150k), barely featured, sent on loan, then released from his contract last month. Eh?

This sort of shit upset me about our campaign to abject failure this season. Same as when we binned off Aidan Connolly who looked like GMS in his first season, a lot of promise but a bit rough around the edges. And Charlie Telfer, pretty decent young midfielder, left to languish on the bench and turned into a fat wee workshy loaf who ended up getting punted out to Livingston on loan.

I blame Paatelainen and his lets play 6 defenders approach to playing football.

What else were they fined for, other than the game against Arsenal with the Gabriel/Costa debacle? I genuinely can't remember any others.

Vs West Ham in the FA Cup for having 6 players booked. I'm sure there's another one as well.

At Battle at the Bridge - the game where Spurs had 9 players booked and Dembele retrospectively banned for violent conduct, and Chelsea had 3 players booked - Chelsea have been fined £150k more than Spurs.

Repeat offences. Chelsea have been fined several times this season, Spurs haven't.

    End of season conclusions?

    here are some of mine:

    - James Milner was wasted at City. Highly capable play maker who works hard. Proved it at villa (and newcastle?) but wasn't valued at City.

    - Arsenal still need a striker and a DM

    - Man Utd were never as bad as made out but the league has changed dramatically since the glory days under Fergie and they can no longer take anything for granted.

    - There's no longer a top 4 or 5. Any team that plays consistent football really can win the league. How much you think that will change next year? The 'big' clubs must be licking their lips at the thought of pulling away from the parity.

    - Pardew is still a nob

    - Martinez is a nice buy but really not that great a team manager

    - Spurs should win the league next year but probably won't

    - What's made for a good season in the prem has made for a bad season in Europe. I like seeing Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, etc being competitive in the champs league.

    Hmmm,

    - I think I agree about Milner, he's not a next level talent but he's a solid reliable workhorse who can move a game from front to back. I'd be happy to have him in Spurs squad.

    - I think Arsenal need a bit more than that, a solid mobile CB for one.

    - I somewhat agree with that Man Utd assessment, I feel they could've performed better though, they just lack a spark. It'll be interesting to see what Depay and Martial do next season and I expect Rooney to drop into a midfield role for good next year. They are a bit more solid looking at the back at the moment but they are definitely lacking something.

    - Yeah, agree.

    - I'm not sure I get the Pardew hate, he's ok, don't think I'd want to go for a pint with him or anything but he's fairly inoffensive

    - I like Martinez, think he's been let down by his players and apparently Barkley has the team and his ego is escalating a bit

    - This season was our season to capitalise, a lot depends on what focus is given on CL next season and where we strengthen. I personally think we're still missing a dedicated left winger but I'm really happy with our current squad. The danger will always be Chelsea, City, United and Arsenal throwing more money at the league and it working for them. Really happy with second or third place this year. Next year at least hope we'll finish in the same area but you never know, the pressures on the bigger guys. I'd watch for Liverpool.

    - Disagree, there's Liverpool in the Europa final, City made the semis of the CL and there was a decent whack of English teams in the Quarters and last 16. I actually think Liverpool are in with a really big chance of winning the Europa final though.

  6. I'm not denying there were some shocking tackles flying about, and Dembele will no doubt get a ban retrospectively, but Costa, Willian, Ivanovic were all playing in just as physical a manner as Rose, Dier, Dembele and Walker.

It's not standard Spurs play and I'm putting it down more to the situation and passion/frustration,

It's hardly warranting the righteous indignation floating about.

Would have been better to see Spurs win last night and then Leicester winning it at home by beating Everton. But it's deserved nonetheless. Spurs' performance last night was foul. Probably should have had 4 red cards. Clattenburg never had any control on that game. He let it boil over into carnage.

To be fair it was just as bad coming from Chelsea as well.

Think I'm gonna add in the HM-2. Not for tis distortion, but for the color mix. Gives it that extra grit I'm after.  So using the amp's gain, then dialling back the color mix a bit on the HM-2 with the distortion turned off. Sounds angry.

Yeah, that would definitely add a bit more bite to it. Kind of similar to the way I use a Tubescreamer.

  9. Friday: Recovering from man-handling a tree from the ground myself yesterday. Met with two builders we've narrowed down to for our extension. Probably stick on either Jurassic World or Entourage for tonight's filmage with my wife

Saturday: Looking after my daughter while my wife is at Aberdeen Ministry of Cratfs with her Jewellery business

    Sunday: Daughters birthday party

Rob Elliot out for about 6 months. Newcastle have no chance of signing emergency loan keeper so down to rookie's Darlow or Woodman.

Darlow is an obvious choice there, he's over 100 championship games under his belt, I know he had a shaky debut vs West Brom but he's a decent keeper who's itching for a chance in my opinion.

I hate that the pop-punk pinch-harmonicing busker outside the St Nicks Centre has been replaced with some goober who just plays a bass. A bass busker. Just playing bass. Shite.

    Bring back Pinchy McPunx.

I would only accept this if it was full on FUNX

Shower of smarmy, smug, self-righteous pieces of shit bursting into thinly-veiled racist/islamophobic rants and talking about how much they 'science'. See also anyone who has a 3-word bio and one of those words is "skeptic".

    xx

    Applicable across multiple media-lead "opinions".

According to my bio I registered for this forum in 2005 but I definitely remember posting on it earlier,  like 2002 or before. Was there was a switchover and everybody had to reregister? Or was it like an AUBL board or something I used to post on?

Yeah, we switched in 2002. I was on AUBL and Fudgenet before that. Pretty sure you were on Fudgenet. This dates back to around 2000ish, maybe before.
