Adam Easy Wishes
I need to format my computer. Currently running WindowsME. I don't have a working floppy drive. If I could just restart in MS-DOS mode, all would be well, but I can't. Anyone who can help?
spellchecker
why can't you get into dos mode? does the pc boot at all? usually pressing F8 after the bios screen gives you a text-based menu that gives you an option to boot into dos. Guest onlynik
Or just boot off a CD, change settings in bios.
Adam Easy Wishes
The F8 menu gives me:1. Normal2. Logged (/BOOTLOG.TXT)3. Safe Mode4. Step-by-step confirmationBooting from the ME CD is okay, but it doesn't give me the option to format.

Adam Easy Wishes
I somehow managed to get to a command prompt, but it didn't recognise the 'format' command for some ridiculous reason. I also visited the bootdisk site, but I didn't have a fucking clue which one to get. I'm shit with this.

It would be easier to ghost an image on to one disc, then use that disc to copy on to other machines. (assuming they are all the same)
