psydoll
I'd say it isn't worth it but it IS Tom Waits. I expect a full review and setlist mind!
Darth Elvis
For someone who hasn't heard Tom Waits, what album would you recommend buying first. I have thought about buying his stuff on a few occasions, but don't know a good starting point.
lepeep
I'd say it isn't worth it but it IS Tom Waits. I expect a full review and setlist mind!rightee-ho !(I am also going to take my newly purchased 512 MB mp3 player (I am hoping it has a dictaphone setting, I only just won it on ebay yesterday), otherwise it'll be my cleverly disguised minidisk in the wrinkly, hairy pouch + a pink microphone hanging out my pants)...mind you, that could cause some problems !Billy, anything is good...(but every LP is "different" in that it could be crooning jazz, clanging industrial junk yard rap (what the fuck?), mellow acoustic alt Country...what's your poison ?but seriously, I'd reccomend (closing time or Alice or mule variations or swordfishtrombones or....)HMV had all (most) his LP's in the sale last time for a 5er. Hog
Yeah Mr Ocean, you cant go wrong with Mule Variations too. Although I never thought I would dig some spoken word tunes, Tom Waits has some really amazing lyrics/beat poetry
