Tav
Try Pearl Jam's newest album Riot Act. Forget they were ever associated with the grunge scene as their music evolved a long time ago. I think you might enjoy tracks such as "You Are" and "Arc" which both feature some original ideas on the song writing front. The first featuring a guitar played through a drum machine to pretty fantastic effect...think delay/stutter with echo...and the second features the singer's vocals through a Gibson Echoflex. This creates a multi-layered vocal track and that's all it is...lots of vocals. You can hear it if you load up www.pearljam.com as part of it is on the introduction.
