Skubbs
I was a dumb fuck and left my iphone in the back of a taxi, with no insurance yadda yadda, so I bought an HTC Wildfire S. It's been alright, obviously doesn't compare to my iphone (why the fuck can't I highlight text on a website and copy it???) but since I updated HTC sync, the fucking program won't recognise my phone. My phone recognises that it's connected to the computer, and when it's in disk drive mode I can rummage through the files. Any ideas how I can get it to sync?I've uninstalled the program and reinstalled the version that came on the phone, but no luck.I'm close to restoring the phone and just starting again, but it's a pain in the hoop and I'm lazy. Skubbs
Oh, and is there any other way to get apps without having to fanny about on my phone. I wish HTC had a version of itunes, so much fucking easier.
Woodsinho
I don't know about syncing but you can get apps n stuff from the android marketplace using your google account here: https://market.android.com/?hl=en
Skubbs
I had to restore my phone. Aaaaaaah, I did wonder... I've been in a really thick mode recently. Honestly, how I'm managing to walk around and not impale myself on door handles is amazing.
MattJimF
You really don't need the sync software, just connect it as a USB drive and drag and drop everything. You should also look to get lookout from the app store, it can help find a lost phones. Scootray
To highlight text, all you do is touch and hold, release then you can use the green arrow scroller things to highlight the exact text. That's the case on the Desire anyway.
Skubbs
It doesn't always work, and you can't take snapshots of web pages which is a bit shit. Wildfire was all I could afford without dipping into my christmas present fund. It's working better now
