Guest Gladstone
So, I see that dude at Aberdeen Bands is trying to fill the void left by DHC.There's a gig on tomorrow with 3 Aberdeen bands I've never heard of:Forest Fire, Norquay and Cook Doo.Think we're heading along to check it out.Anyone heard these bands before? Had a quick listen to the first two on Facebook - sounded pretty inoffensive (I only listened to about 30 seconds of each though...).We're out tomorrow night anyway, and I was just looking for something to do - this looks about the best bet so far. Although I saw Steven Milne posting that he's playing some acoustic stuff in Kilau from about 7.30pm - is that place licensed? Might head there first.Think it's £4 entry - which to be honest, seems a bit steep. DHC was struggling near the end to keep the place busy during the bands for free guestlist entry. Hopefully they manage to make it work though. It is £2 for students, which ain't bad I suppose.Did anyone go to the first one?
Guest Gladstone
I mean £4 to get into Snafu - not Kilau!

MarkDrummer
We're playing there on the 26th January - from what I've heard, the guy who is promoting the events knows his stuff.
Jaaakkkeee
Aye he's relentless in his promoting. Which is good. If I had money I would have attended last night.

beetlejuice
i don't understand the question.Gladstone hadn't heard of any of the bands playing, so I was asking how the gig was (ie were the bands any good?).
FOX
Forest Fire are very very good but I might be biased as they're made up of ex-schoolmates. Not that I really got on with any of them personally, lol. Be good to see live, for a heavy rock band they've got some very good tunes.
