Kieran_imray
I recently bought an unlocked American iPhone (so it was on AT&T) for my Orange SIM card. I then updated it to the latest software, (3.1.2?) and now it won't work. Is there anywhere in Aberdeen it can be unlocked?
Adam Easy Wishes
That place in the market unlock iPhones I think.I also think that if you jailbreak it it will be open to any network if you want to go down that route. There is a very decent thread on the Football365 forum that will be of all kinds of help. Kieran_imray
O.K, I can't get on to football365 with my e-mail and thus can't view any threads. Anyone know for sure if the place in the market will do it?
Soda Jerk
There's a place on King St that does. Don't know what it's called, but it's just a little bit up if youre coming up towards town, on the Castlegate side of the road. It's advertised in the window. davewarden
What's wrong with it?When I stick it on idle it switches off after a few seconds, not too much of a problem, I just stop it from doing it automatically.pretty sure ive managed to trigger the water sensors, fuck knows how but they wont touch it if its the case. You'll lose all your contacts and music doing this, but if you make sure you back up to your computer you'll be able to sync it again without too many problems. Kieran_imray
do they do repairs on them as well?I'm not sure, didn't really pay much attention to anything other than their unlocking service. Pretty sure the one on king st does phone repairs though, might include iPhones.
davewarden
Ta.Adam its not jailbroken, have tried restore but will try a full restore when I get in tonight. Its just an inconvenience, working at like 95%
Adam Easy Wishes
Given it's not jailbroken you should definitely take it into the Apple store to have a look at. The worst they'll tell you is the water sensor has been compromised and if that's the case, take out some insurance and drop it in a bath in a couple of months time. Not that I'm condoning insurance fraud.
