"Josef K, Hardcore Dave and Dragon provide the exciting playground of music for highly accomplished and irrepressible firecracker Stina Twees lead vocals. This Glasgow band is sure to enthral and delight you with the odd cheeky slap to keep you interested. Introducing - Boycotts"

The List - Drew Spencer

Boycotts formed in April 2008, played their first gig at the end of June and recorded their first demo at LOFI Studios in September. Since then the band have been played on Vic Galloway's Radio 1 show, played Stag and Dagger Festival and supported acts such as Cage The Elephant, Art Brut, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and Cursive. The band have recently finished recording their debut E.P @ Chem19 with producer Andy Miller. This summer will see the band embark upon two Scottish tours, first in June and then again in August to support the launch of their E.P. With a number of other developments in the pipeline Boycotts may be one band to watch out for in 2009.

I went to Wiegiville a while back to Oran Mhor - it's called The Mill on certain nights - and all you can buy is bottles of Miller served in a plastic glass - 5.00 a pint is a bit steep, BUT, the venue and PA, etc etc were ace - classy bogs - nice automatic squirting taps and long marble troughs for sinks. We got in free due to some internet texting malarkey.

Oscar Charlies bassist had a great sounding Rickenbacker, Boycotts had a cute singer who owned the stage - a bit like a dark haired Debbie Harry. She is well worth a look .
