Huw
Scott, I heard you were having problems with your 400+ ?Also, has any one got first-hand experience with the SVT-2pro?I'm intrigued! When the EQ is set to on the amp doesn't work. We figured a melted solder or something. When we went to try it out down at the practice space it wouldn't work. It was at like 6 and i was sitting right in front of it when he switched the EQ off, no earplugs... pain. that amp has A TON of headroom.I reckon the SVT2 would be similar in that respect, but with the Ampeg tone everybody seems to love. I don't think I've ever had an Ampeg that has blown me away as yet in terms of tone, although Nico from Avast!, Year at Sea etc uses a sweet vintage ampeg that sounded pretty damn good from what I could hear. The only place I've seen/heard one in in the Moorings, for first hand experience get a gig there!
stuartmaxwell
the SVT 2 is similar to ampegs answer to the mesa 400+i personally think the mesa is the better amp out of the two, even though I am a converted ampeg chap with the SVT cl
