Retro Pub Rock Band - "Sound Of The Suburbs" - Members Wanted

Bass player looking to put together a Retro Pub Rock Band.

New wave / Alternative / Sound Of The Suburbs covers from the late 70s to mid 80's

The likes of....

Talking Heads, Blondie, The Stranglers, Elvis Costello, Specials, The Jam, Madness,

Ian Dury, Iggy Pop, Undertones + many more from a magical era.

Ideally a 4 piece, requiring (Male OR Female)

Confident, be able to play (no catch ups), like a laugh....

Lead singer / Lead guitarist

Keyboard player

Drummer

Gritty, tight & lively band, attention to detail a must, true to the original live sound & image. Recreating Old Grey Whistle / 70's TOTP look and live sound.

Show piece band, gigging in North East, aiming for Lemon Tree, Tunnels, Drummonds etc.

Leather Jackets, Fender Precisions, drain pipes, old Converse trainers & coiled guitar leads awaits....

Yeah I can play all this style of music, it's my favorite pick playing style,

looking for like minded musicians & a singer.

Backing tapes? na...live, live, live + a lot of practice.

(if it were backing tapes from that era it would have to be TDK & BASF C45 & C90s)

You could do the cassete tape influenced "C30 C60 C90" by Bow Wow Wow.

I'd pay to see a band doing all the old punk, new wave stuff. It's a cracking idea.

Hi there, Im a bit on the old side for what you're looking for at a grand old age of 37,

plus I am really concentrating on getting this venture up and running.
