PS3 / Blu-Ray / HDMI help needed

Recommended Posts

for some reason, I can't get the PS3 to display on the LCD tv via the HDMI cable.

According to the TV instructions, it should display on EXT-05 but I check that & there's nowt.

Works ok via SCART, however.

Is it is some setting I need to set up or change on the PS3?

Have you checked the other channels?

My TV has a channel specifically marked HDMI in the options. Wouldn't have thought you have to do anything with the PS3 except plug it in, could be wrong though.

What make and model is your TV?

You need to reset the output if you've been using it on a Scart connection. Hold down the on button on the front with everything connected up and it on the correct channel on the TV until you hear a couple of beeps and the output settings should change and you should get a picture once the handshake is successful.

Hope that helps.
