Anyone know a person who lives in these flats?

I just hanged around the door till someone left and nipped in before the door locked. Another time i was talking photographs of the area and a guy came up to me and offered to let me in after he saw i was taking photos. I think the 'service' button/buzzer lets you in as well...but i keep forgetting to try. Of course non of these will actually get you onto a personal balcony, but at least up into the building.

As for tall buildings, you can apparently get up onto the roof of the tall council (at least i think it's council), near the back of M&S. I'll ask my friend that said you could how!

Not sure about that (if you're meaning St Nicholas House that is). I work on the 13th floor and the only people that've been let out while I've been here - apart from Cooncily maintenance people - were the Location Location Location crew. But I suppose if you asked they might let you.

Lots of people come up to our reception to look out the window, but I think they would be rubbish for taking photos out of as they are absolutley filthy.

Did you meet Phil and Kirsty?

I got onto the roof of the council buildings - We went in to ask one day if it would be a possibility and caught the right person at the right time, so we were allowed up to take a few photos.

It probably did help that we had a reason for wanting to get up and take pictures (beyond 'it would be cool')

From what they said though, if you get in touch through the proper channels you should be able to get up at some point, just that involves the usual council bureaucracy...

Some friends did also get up one of the tower blocks at the end of union street for some alternative shots on the same project - they just timed it so that they could nip in after a resident opened the door. Not too sure on the layout of all the blocks, but they definately got onto a balcony section.
