lepeep
I've just got hold of this....it's lovely!Huge, spacious guitar / piano tracks...it really conjures a picture of the vast American countryside(or how I imagine the planes of the mid westanyway!)Its not as dark as I though it was going to be (like Isis or Jesu), but its got balls, thats for sure.Id take this one for a long drive, for sure!Check some samples on boomkatEARTH, The Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull
Guest bluesxman
It's a great album, Earth are one of my most listened to bands these days, I've ended up collecting up all their old albums and you can really see the progress they have made from the early Sunn O))) influencing drone/doom rock style to something approaching a Metal Morricone. medichi
Oh I LIKE this - got it from a website, and it is rather special. Very slow, drawn out - but never dull! Very good for inbetween bouts of Genghis Tron and Hope Con!
Alex
i was really looking forward to them live but they were really boring. sir richard bishop was magic!
Panda Strong
I quite like some of Earth's earlier material, but i got about 25 seconds into this and had to turn it off, absolutely dire. Erughhhhh.I'm tired of everyone banging on about Earth, as well, and pretty much anything related to Southern Lord. What's with all the scene kids suddenly jumping onto all this?I'm such a miserable bastard.
Mora-Treat-Guru
Nice record. Really like a lot of their newer works. Strangely enough, I'm no where near as keen on their earlier drone workouts; they never felt all encompassing enough for me to fully immerse myself with them.
