there isn't *that* much Aberdeen punk bands. let's see:

Five Finger Discount

Gone2Far

Broken Sunshine

Gilman Street

Point Of Origin

Quik

10 Easy Wishes

thats all i can think of right now. let's see how many local Metal bands i can name:

Black Atom

Hot Mangu

Ricastonia

Spike Pile Driver

Element 106

Reap

Open Air

Vomitus

Filthpact

Double Jack

i'm sure theres a few more metal bands kicking about. no-one really goes on about the metal scene in Aberdeen' date=' the punk scene tends to get most of the flak. why is that?[/quote']

But dude, Quik aren't a punk band, don't most of you folks know that by now? When was the last time someone actually went to a Quik show and said, they are so punk rock?

They mix up elements of metal, punk, funk and so on...

From knowing the guys personally, they don't listen to that much punk rock, most of the stuff they listen to is post hardcore, metal or whatever. You know, bands like Thrice, UnderOath, Metallica, Pantera, SKID ROW (don't ask).

But anyways, thats all I have to say.

Cheers
