I think it's better than Love and Theft. I was a bit worried when i saw the tracklisting' date=' a lot of generic song-titles that didn't bode well for the lyrical content, but I was pleasantly surprised to find his pen's still as sharp as it ever was. His singing voice on this album is a lot better as well, especially on the jazzier material.[/quote']

I read the album and song titles and decided the man was an embarrassment.

the fact that the albums songtitles immediatley remind you of 100s of blues and jazz ballads is no accident in my opinion.

a lot of the songs seem like sequels to songs written in the 40s/50s

Well' date=' as the great Willie Dixon said (staying on a Chess theme);

You can't judge an apple by looking at a tree

You can't judge honey by looking at the bee

You can't judge a daughter by looking at the mother

You can't judge a book by looking at the cover

Oh can't you see, oh you misjudge me

I look like a farmer, but I'm a lover

You can't judge a book by looking at the cover[/quote']

Great song.

Haven't got the Dylan album yet, but looks like I may have to pick it up, lots of good comments.
