(20 marks)[/quote']Hmm, let me see.It doesn't feature Mo Tucker or John Cale.Lou Reed was might pissed off about the way Atlantic fucked about with the mixes and song order. Not as good as the 'lost' fourth (i.e. VU) album.Good album but could've tried harder I'm afraid. So I'd give you 4/20. Guest Gasss
Must have been a lack of narcotics at that party...I think the problem was there was too many, but I was just drunk and maudlin.I hate Doug Yule's emotionless singing. I wish he didn't exist. My least favourite VU album, but still ace!
Neill
There's great songs on it' date=' especially on the first half, but some of the tracks ("Train Round The Bend" ... seem to have been added at the last minute to pad it out.[/quote'] I like 'Train...' Nice bit of guitar.Know what you mean about Lonesome Cowboy Bill though...
Mark Nicol
Check out RE-loaded. Some of the demo versions on that are better than the tracks that appeared on the original album.

Mark Nicol
Has anyone heard the 'album' that was made after Loaded? Squeeze I think it was called (1973), mainly Doug Yule, although I think it went out in the guise of the velvets. It's total garbage. I think the best post velvets stuff by anyone involved is Berlin by Lou Reed. The songs for drella album's pretty good too.
Alan Cynic
Anybody else see the 'reunion' tour when it hit Scotland (I was at the Edinburgh Playhouse one........saw Lou solo there afew years earlier, too)?

Doug Yule tried to trade on the name for a couple of years after (Sterling and Mo having left as well). If i recall correctly there is a post Lou 'velvets' boxset! The mind boggles. Guest bluesxman
Other than Sweet Jane and Rock and Roll I found it pretty poor, think I've only listened all the way once.
Time Machine
Doug Yule's such a comedy name for a supoosed rock n roll star. Sounds mair like a prolific Highland League goalscorer for Cove Rangers!
