am astonished at binky's ability to renege on his own assurance that he would never' date=' ever, EVER play drums for deadloss again.

x[/quote']

I should point out that when I said I'd play drums for this gig, I'd had a couple. Seemed like a good idea. I'll warn you that the drumming at this gig will be erratic to say the least. Especially if The Saint, Robb and Oggy keep plying me with birthday drinks.

Radio Lucifer's set will tight, slick and professional though.

Deadloss Superstar

The three founding members of Deadloss Superstar met at school and – in the grand tradition – were united though a shared love of rock music. After stealing a hardcore/punk-influenced rhythm section, they set about melding their sound from an exhaustive list of influences including Guns N' Roses, Queens Of The Stoneage, Muse, Alice In Chains, Black Flag, Deftones, New York Dolls and Iggy Pop.

What they have arrived at may best be described as ‘stoner-punk'. Normally drenched in distorted guitars, but surprisingly melodic, their songs range from frenetic punky thrashers to majestic slow-burning epics. The memorably enthusiastic live show comes with passion, energy and a firm commitment to entertainment. But not, we should make clear, in the manner of tribute acts such as The Darkness: this is an altogether more sinister affair, with themes of murderous love, drug-fuelled insomnia, and the end of the world. They've been playing together for almost three years now, and it's safe to say they mean it.

They have often been described as sleazy. Musically speaking, of course.

De Rosa are a band haunted by the ghosts of industry. Since September 2003 we have been constructing pop for Gargleblast Records (co-founded by producer Andy Miller - Arab Strap, Mogwai, Sons & Daughters, Delgados, Scout Niblett, Songshia.....). Our first single, "Camera/All Saints Day", was released in July 2004, and was well recieved in the UK, Europe and the US. John Peel played it and we wept into our Irn Bru. You can find us wandering the streets of Bellshill, Uddingston and Dennistoun.

Our first hi fidelity full length album MEND, is all finished and will see a release over the next few months on Chemikal Underground Records.

Intense and uncompromisingly brutal, yet with the ability to show a side of themselves that is subdued, contemplative and quite beautiful to behold: These startlingly effective loud/soft dynamics have become the lynch-pin of the Tenesee Kait sound, their own individual brand of alternative rock which they continue to showcase to its full effect on their second single, Vaseline Smile. Formed in 1998, Perthshire quartet Tenesee Kait immediately impressed with their first outings (in the form of self financed , The Illustrious Life and Pretty Please) gaining them a large, loyal fan base in Tayside and securing the band gigs across Scotland (taking in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee) and going on to catch the eye of local label, Buzz Records. In 2001, their debut release on the label, Cherries, even managed to impress the notoriously 'hard to please' Radio 1 (seeing airplay on the prestigious Jo Whiley show and Session in Scotland). Follow up was the 2003 release Vaseline Smile. Another 3 track single which also included Halo? and Detroit Girl. All have variations on the theme of 'relationships' yet presented from three unique viewpoints, both lyrically and musically. Support slots followed shortly after, playing dates with Annie Christian, Fifth Amendment, Span, X is Loaded, thisGIRL, InMe and current alt-rock darlings Biffy Clyro, as well as securing them an exclusive showcase at the Northern Exposure music industry convention and Musicworks Glasgow 2004. Having honed their live skills to perfection though, Tenesee Kait returned to the studio and have recorded more brand new tracks for 2005: Weekend Sessions, this time on Local Label BrokenWing Records. With this new material and an even stonger live set Tenesee Kait are here to make an impression. ......................................... "Swirrly, Whirrlly guitars with crashing melody" - Kerrang! Magazine "Loud, brash and unashamedly brutal" Rock Sound Magazine "The best new band I've heard in an age" Logo Magazine

Radio Lucifer

www.myspace.com/radiolucifer

RADIO LUCIFER are a band from Aberdeen, Scotland that make hardcore, heavy rock n'roll their raison d’etre. With clutch of tunes set to stun, RADIO LUCIFER are set to make a big impression with a full on nuclear assault that tips it's targeting systems to The Wildhearts, Motley Crue, Devin Townsend, Black Flag, The Backyard Babies and Sick of It All. The band’s history is an illustrious and decadent one - formed after the untimely split of Psycho A Go-Go (Changes One records), front man Jonny decided that the kids needed the exciting, decadent, sleazy kicks of his former group married with the intensity and righteous anger of old-skool hardcore with a peppering of metal. With this in mind he called his brother JIMMY LUCIFER, already an alumnus of a number of hardcore/metal bands, including the mighty We Become Less (Lockjaw Records). Jimmy of course agreed in a second to take on the mantle of guitar player, allowing him to exorcise his love of Motley Crue and Black Flag simultaneously! Other members were quickly auditioned, until the line-up finally settled upon the rock ninjas you’re reading about now: ROBB, the bass-man from hell with a throbbing low-end cacophony at his finger-tips and the chiseled charm of a Hollywood movie star; OGGY, a virtual atom bomb behind the kit, and the enigmatic SAINT PETER on guitar; the baby-faced six-string samurai with the hottest licks. Radio Lucifer’s ascension has been a quick one, already the band have played a number of shows around Scotland with Canadian indie supreme Neil Leyton, a UK, support slots with Viking Skull and The Damned, a tour in September 2004. More trips around the UK are in the works to take Radio Lucifer’s maniacal message to world at large, a message that appeals to fans of Cheap Trick and Slipknot alike.

Plus the djing stylings of The General.

Alas no. I need every available penny I can possibly earn to get that acoustic E.P out (that thing has quickly become the bane of my fucking life) and to keep myself alive on the forthcoming Today We Fight! tours.

Bit of a pisser really.

Can we ply you with drink anyway?
