unfortunately Mercury Tilt Switch have had to pull out of this tour but have been replaced by the brilliant COLOUR OF FIRE...here's a bit of info on them...

Formed in 2002, Colour of Fire exploded onto the scene last August

with some major airplay on Radio 1 and XFM. Also one of the best bands at In The City 2002 they continue to gather interest from all field of the music industry. Colour of Fire's sound is one of anthemic ragecore with a pop edge... think At the Drive in meets The Vines if you must have a comparison. The band have recently been seen on the road with: Idlewild, InMe, Placebo, Biffy Clyro, Icarus Line and Silverchair. www.colouroffire.co.uk

MIDASUNO

Possessing the guts to put your neck out and plant it firmly on the chopping block - how the term 'different' is understood by MIDASUNO, Merthyr Tydfil 4-piece and Lockjaw Records' recent signings.

Considered as one of Waless best kept secrets MIDASUNO have shared stages with the likes of A Perfect Circle, Cave-In, The Darkness, Hell is for Heroes, The Wildhearts, Million Dead and LostProphets - MIDASUNO are ready and willing to carve their own niche and add their name to the upper echelons of rock's hierarchy.

Combining a dark lyrical bent with a blend of British rock , US alternative and underground with a spattering of punk MIDASUNO avoid comparison by forging an amalgam of the above-mentioned into a their own brand of noise - helping them pick up 'Best Unsigned Act' at the 2002 Welsh Music Awards as a result.

Having released a Stuart Richardson (LostProphets fame) produced single 'The Art Of Fear' on Cardiff's Cascade Records, Autumn 2003 saw the release of MIDASUNO's debut release for Lockjaw Records - the mini-album 'When Bulls Play God', which has already earned plaudits (tracks featured on both Rock Sound and Metal Hammer compilations) and received rave reviews from recognised sources such as Metal Hammer (8/10), Rock Sound (7/10), Terrorizer (8/10) Big Cheese Magazine (4/5), BBC Music Online (4/5) as well as published and online-based fanzines.

MTS should be rescheduled for june....

meanwhile here's a not too bad review of Midasuno's album When Bulls Play God...

Now this is interesting. Id never heard of Midasuno before hearing this, their second ep, and all I can say for sure is that I want to hear more.

The best thing about this band is their originality. There is not one band I can think of that sounds anything like Midasuno, the nearest being Coheed & Cambria -though these lot are far more metallic, exciting and best of all homegrown! I hope thisGIRL, Aural Sun, Hiding With Girls and Sikth are feeling intimidated if not they should be.

If more reference points are needed, try Lostprophets beating Fugazi to death, with Trent Reznor refereeing on whilst Sona Fariq cheer on in the crowd. Midasunos sound is far more developed than it deserves to be considering this is their first major release, its a shame this couldnt be a full length really.

Tense dynamics corrode stratospheric melodies that ride the pulsing rhythms like an atom bomb as it falls nearer and nearer towards its target. You can download Samuel L and Hypocrite at their website, www.midasuno.co.uk. But why waste time? Just buy the ep!

Every track on When Bulls Play God is awesome, besides the tinny production, I really cant find any fault.

RockReview Rating: 9 / 10
