Guest tv tanned
Hmm no one is born evil' date=' but a lot of kids today are certainly born INTO evil![/quote']Absolutely, and these people need to be helped, not cut adrift early as is the present situation. What hope does a child have when it is born into poverty and destitution, surrounded by drugs or crime? It is a damning statistic (and a real one too ) that a quarter of children in Scotland live in poverty. The streets I grew up on, i don't even feel safe on anymore, ever seen a gang of 8 year olds beating into a old man with golf clubs? They don't give a shit, theres no talking to them, its all they've ever known. The current state of the nation is fucked...and I don't think any legislations are going to change anything..its fight or fit in...That is a rather defeatist attitude to adopt, and the kind which only serves to make the situation worse.Basically you seem to be suggesting that any child born with abusive parents, addict parents or any number of social circumstances outside their control is doomed.Am I reading that correctly, or am I being a tad unfair? Guest DustyDeviada
Surely a women showing her baps in a magazine is less harmfull that getting shagged by dodgy guys who could have any disease under the sun?Is your photography work going to be branching out into new fields? Guest tv tanned
Yes, but I think to suggest that we cannot somehow intervene to help children in these situations is overly defeatist.
Hog
Is your photography work going to be branching out into new fields?Taking photos of prostitutes being shagged by guys who have any disease under the sun? Larsen B
The thing is though' date=' pornography is controlled. Since it's legal, surely there's legislation protecting the people who engage in it. On the other hand, if you're a prostitute, you can get gang-raped and abused to hell and be able to do little or nothing about it.[/quote']I'm not talking about the practical implications, purely the moral concern in choosing to sell yourself. threeornothing
there is prostitution in everything wrought under the sun. there is agenda that will bastardize and besiege us all. Within the in equation of ambition and subsistence file the sum less lines of the mortgaged. an annexation to the droning. insomniatic servitude to an infinity of misery

Guest Jake Wifebeater
good point actually.I'm only being half-serious, but it's worth thinking about. I wish I could remember the exact quotation, but it's something along the lines of "Would you rather be raped once, and get it over and done with, or work for forty years in a shitty job you hate?" the_beastly_one
The things people dish out negative scene points for is beyond me.I recieved two negative ones for my initial post in this thread, one of which was accompanied by the comment 'what the fuck?'. I can understand why these are given out for say, insulting other members or something, but I can't see anything particularly controversial about what I said....it's just a form of exploration into something that isn't seen to be 'socially acceptable', so what is exactly is the problem with this thread, to those who gave them?Or alternatively, you're narrow-minded prudish arseholes?Let me know, I'm curious.
