craig deadenstereo
I dunno, sounds quite cool. I fthey had an amp custom built to go with it. It could be like a better version of the Variax and Vetta stuff. You could have different amounts of gain or delay for different strings and you could change the program for different parts of the song and stuff. All credit for goiing ahead with it to Gibson. It'll be a flop at first but once the amps and pedals get built to deal with it..Be nice if they put normal pickups and a norml jack socket in too though. Guest redmeat
It's nothing that Roland hasn't been doing for the last decade.Gibson RD anyone?
Tav
Does a roland offer individual string sampling and effects to be placed on seperate strings?
Mouse
There is the Roland guitar synth as used by Alex Lifeson from Rush & the guy from Pallas (don't know his name *doh*), but that is still analogue.

Guest redmeat
Joni Mitchell has just one GK fitted guitar onstage and uses a VG-8 to switch between all the different tunings.
Tav
I think with the right amp and effects the gibson system could be onto a winner.
