Hog
Well said Maxi and Swinging Ryan. Its good to have favourite bands etc. Passion in music is a great thing. I suppose it can be good to listen to certain genres than just let any old shite enter the brain
jester1470
I think its a difficult one as you like what you like, sometimes it crosses the genres sometimes it doesn't, I like Dido, doesnt mean i like all pop so I wouldnt say I'm that open minded about these things, I just like what I like. Liking a couplke of artists from a specific genre dowsnt make you open minded, it just mean you like a couple of people who happen to cross over. Metarie
I've been subjected to quite a varied lot of music at work over the last few months and I think I can tell the difference between good jazz/folk/reggae/whatever to bad. I'l listen to most stuff but when it comes to buying albums i'm really picky. The only album I have that really stands out as a completely different genre from the others is 'Give' by The Bad Plus, a rather groovy jazz trio. So, I'm probably a 6 on the basis that I have an opinion on music, other than I love it or I hate it.
