The Milner
Just to tell you guys that we've put a demo of Naturally Deselected on purevolume for you guys to listen to...This was one of three we recorded two months ago in Exile in a few hours. This is the one we liked best so we decided to go back in today to remix it. This is an unmastered recording but we think it sounds pretty big.BRING IT ON
Hog
Your drum sound is spot on. As you know, not my type of music but sounds good.

Adam Easy Wishes
yeh it sounds pretty good i think Yeah. It's not a bad effect when it works (which by the way I think it does here). He tried to get us to use it on "It's a Disaster!", but it really did sound bad. Especially on faster stuff - rolls and the like can sound really false.
Guest Zeenat Aman
This tracks rather good, much better than I was expecting after hearing the live misery track you had up before. I know it's not the finished product, but to my ears I think the drums and bass could be a little louder because it's making the vocals sound a little bit naked... plus, it's also hiding the fab drumming a bit too much! Guest stuartmaxwell
it seems a bit cluttered, but that might be because (i think) the vocals are a bit too loudits better than the live oneone of the bits reminds me of just in lust by the wildhearts (no, honestly)

Guest Bob
Care to give a quick explanation of this trick?Basically, Mark has samples of different snare drums and can overlay these samples onto your existing snare sound to either alter it or totally replace it. I don't know exactly how it works, but that's the result.
unbroken
As far as I know, it works but picking out the frequency at which the snare drum resonates, and then it totally replaces the sound of your snare with the sound of another sampled snare drum...Sometimes works, sometimes not...Handy if you have no idea how to tune your snare drum...xXscottXx
Guest Zeenat Aman
Is it a blend of both sample and actual live drums on this track? It sounds good(even with the inferior purevolume sound:P).

Guest Bob
Is it a blend of both sample and actual live drums on this track? It sounds good(even with the inferior purevolume sound:P).It was a live recording we tweaked with and overlayed vocals upon. So yeah, it's a mix. unbroken
Is it a blend of both sample and actual live drums on this track? It sounds good(even with the inferior purevolume sound:P).It probably will be, because as far as I know, you can't use this tool if there are any snare rolls or anything like that...xXscottXx
Tav
Sounds a little crappy thanks to it being on purevolume...streaming sucks! The vocals are too high in the mix but not a bad recording. Be nice to hear a version that hasn't been compressed for streaming.

jester1470
I'm not sure why peoople think the vocals are too high in the mix, I think they're not too bad, the vocals when they're on in general should be the loudest instrument and the highest in the mix, a lot of bands when recording lose the vocals by mixing them too far down,CheersStuart
The Milner
Handy if you have no idea how to tune your snare drum...xXscottXxthe snare drum was tuned by the professional guys in pro sound an hour before recording.
