Guest AmbientMood
What is the proper use of a semi-colon. From what I can remember, which is quite vague, its used to (maybe) contrast two ideas or introduce a new point..Care to enlighten me? Frosty Jack
Use it in place of a co-ordinating conjunction; this avoids over-complexity.Use it along with a conjunctive adverb; thereby improving clarity.Use it in a sentence sentence that involves listed items, but for which the listed items themselves have several modifiers already separated by commas.
