Lots of good advice in other parts of this thread, my only addition would be not to fill your CV/app form with Bullshit, you will be found out when grilled at the interview stage! The CV should be relevant to the job being applied for, skills and experience should match whats expected in the job description, if it doesnt, dont bother applying! If you get to the interview stage, do your homework, look up the company, its website, how long its existed, how many employees it has, etc. Also prepare 3-4 really good questions about the job itself, career prospects, further training, what are the companies plans for the future, etc. If you have to do a presentation, keep to the time limit. If you dont know the answer to an interviewers question, dont waffle or bullshit, be honest and say you dont know but would be interested to learn more.

I've had a wireless pick up taxi radio signals once, but it was an early version! Cables can sometimes act as aerials and pick up radio signals, might be worth trying a different guitar cable or patch lead?

Yep still available, previous owner had the monte alums mod done to reduce noise, etc.

1981 (I was 15) - our Geography teacher started a lunchtime guitar class using the schools yamaha acoustics, we learnt House of the rising sun and a few other standards. 1982, first gig at the end of school disco, I borrowed my uncles Kay LP copy and an amp, we played 6 songs, Teenage Kicks and London Calling being the 2 best ones (I still play them but hopefully a bit better now)! The valleys of wales rocked that night and I got lucky with a local lass, great gig Due to work/travel I never played again till 1987, then I returned to the UK and joined a band playing around Bristol, bought my first proper guitar, a Gordon Smith GS1 (bit like an LP Junior). After that I was hooked, in and out of bands, solo projects ever since. Always played for fun, no plans to give up the day job

Thats a lot of trading for one so young The Roland cube is with me now, great clean amp for putting my FX/POG/Synth pedals through. Different days Bri, different days! I remember making mix tapes off the radio, I'd spend my paper round money on singles and albums (some went on beer as well) Peel was one of the few mainstream DJ's who would give new bands airplay, rather than the usual Radio 1 playlist put together by an out of touch BBC panel who had no idea what was current! The amount of bands that recorded Peel sessions is massive, to name a few of my favs... Bauhaus, Buzzcocks, XTC, Undertones, Stranglers, SLF, Stereophonics, Siouxsie and the Banshees, PIL, John Martyn, Killing Joke, the list is endless... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Peel_sessions I guess it all changed with the invention of the Interweb and social media, bands can promote themselves these days? Agree with above comments on Yamaha and Fender acoustics, had my fender acoustic for 17 years now and have never needed anything else (I mostly play electric, but the acoustic frequently gets used for recording ) . I had a Yamaha 12 string acoustic many years ago and it had a lovely sound, even when used as a 6 string.

Might trade a few FX for good multi FX unit or synth modules or a bass guitar.

Hey Col, You might want to try putting your pedals through a small mixer then to your I thingie. The mixer will allow you to output the correct level for the Ipad. Cheers Dave (I'm back)
