Sorry guys had a moon moon moment and forgot I could just plug directly in to the DI

tried using a mic last Sunday and it was terrible as the acoustics in the room and that amoungst some other reasons the guy said so that's why I'm saying amp I'm afraid.

Okay so my band recording on Monday at foyer music. Only thing is we're doing an acoustic set but they have no proper acoustic amps only like Marshall mgfx50 or something like that and I tried my acoustic in it and it was absolutely awful sounding. So I'm looking to see if anyone has an acoustic amp I can borrow on Monday. Captain tom has none and never has before. Musical vision won't loan out the one i sold them so I'm basically screwed for sound quality. If anyone loans me an amp they can have a free meal from the tandoori?

We have our own desk but gav said if he could do it he may bring his own desk. As for gear if it does go ahead I'll be right on to captain tom to see what deal we could come too. What do you think people would prefer, maybe one head and cab and a combo amp? As far as I'm aware everything else is sorted if it does go ahead. We have 2 bands already up for doing it, we need two or 3 more. I'm trying to get; Daniel mutch Uniform And I don't know why but I think the marionettes would go down really well.

yeah I was hoping if we promoted captain toms a bit as our sponsor he may be kind and let us borrow a cab or two free. Currently I'm planning this on my own as I'm the only one In the group who has current knowledge in this area and has the right friends. Cheers again Milner.

As for a sound engineer gav from downstairs offered to do it aslong as he's got nothing on that night.

we have DI boxes already but it's just one big one. If it goes ahead I'll need to speak to captain tom anyway about us hiring out a cab or two. And maybe borrowing someone signed by fat hippy records.

we have a 2k system already built in but it's kinda shit so we have a full Yamaha system not sure on how loud it is but has monitors and everything which is really good. We are discussing what we are doing amp wise as no point in every band lobbing their amps down for a 30-45 minute set. We have a decent peavy bass amp but don't think 150 watts would be enough? As for guitar we'll see about getting cabs and guitarists can take their heads with them. Drums we have sorted.

we've got 1 rock band, my band are doing an acoustic set and I'm aiming to find a pop band. I'll try contact uniform.

were still in the planning stage but are hoping to pull it off well. We're looking for a few single artists also like I'm away to try contact Daniel mutch (I'm a fan). Just to calm down at times.
