  1. Bumping this up again - we're hoping to gig very soon so if anyone's interested do get in contact with SeaOfEnergy or myself and we can get something going. Perfect opportunity to jump into an already established band - it's all set up and ready to go! I'd like to emphasise the fact that the band's guitarist and drummer BOTH have extensive gigging experience, all the more reason to join in with this project!
  2. I'll play drums for you? I'm actually a pianist, but the technique I use is pretty much identical to any drummer's. I'd say my skills are transferable. Only thing is I can't practice Monday to Friday since I work late and Sunday is a no too depending on how much studying I get done.
  3. I couldn't believe it when I saw it had been announced. Will be awesome to see all the fans in Aberdeen for once and not have to go elsewhere. Never been to The Garage since it turned into the Garage either so really excited for this.
  4. Is that dat thing that goes in your vaganar
  5. I am disappoint. Can someone make this happen next year instead?

I agree, I think it takes a lot of effort to be organised and not let things like this happen. Same with anything. I do think there are short courses available all around the place that can help folk to budget properly too. Just basic cash inflows and outflows, etc. I'll leave it at this, loans are very dangerous to get involved with, I'd rather sell everything I own than go near one. Also yeah, it can be really misleading them saying it's quick and easy. Yeah sure it's quick and easy to get the money but repayments aren't so much.

That's great! I tend to use toilet paper, more hygienic.

Why wouldn't I be aware? And more importantly why are you trying to initiate an argument with me? All I said was that quick fix loans aren't a great idea. £5 makes a difference to me too, though I'm not that dumb to take out a loan that needs to be repaid within the month and leave it to generate a shitstorm. There's no excuse for not planning your life out if you're a healthy person.

But a great accountant. Wish I was as witty as you.

No I didn't say that, I said previously that if I needed to borrow a sum of money like that I'd arrange something with my bank or if I needed it as soon as possible I'd make sure what I owed didn't escalate to £10,000 as that seems to be a tad ridiculous.

Yes, you must have. I do apologise. If you're in debt you can always sell your house and kids? No idea where the benefits office is, sorry.
  13. I feel slightly offended as I'm Russian and I tend not to climb stuff.

I'm not sure you understand the government can help if you're fortunate enough to live in the UK.

I understand too, though it's beyond me why they wouldn't arrange something with their bank instead. These people don't see that money should always be put away for 'rainy days', do they?

People borrow minuscule sums of £150 and such, it makes me laugh. What happened to planning ahead?
  17. The funny thing is Amazon genuinely didn't pay corporation tax for a while and I have no idea why. How the fuck they got away with it baffles me.
  18. It might have been because a lot of them had the sense to migrate to Transition when it opened up. There are heaps of kids there! All ages. I had an eight year old showing me and a few friends how to do some tricks when I was last down. Just because they don't dress according to the typical skater stereotype doesn't mean they don't skate. Booyah! Will probably offend you with this comment even though I'm not meaning to, nothing personal.
  19. I'd volunteer to help redo the shop if they provided all the materials too... We should get an Ab-Music campaign going.
  20. I agree with downsizing. That way they could maybe have enough funds to refurbish wherever they move to, to attract more folk. As has been said before, it's too easy to get music online... If they could focus on rare vinyls/CDs that would be good, but would there be enough customers for something like that? People are more likely to download or get CDs cheaper off Amazon and that's just the way it is. Image plays a large part in their sales and if they're not up-to-date with their online presence and the overall look of their shop it'll hinder them.
