yeah the mans *laughs* an arse it has to be said. But your right whats the point in having a go at something you either dont like or understand? Sitting there and saying "oh the music is shit and unimaginative" isnt helping anyone. Either go out and do something about it stripey or just piss off and leave the shit music scene to do as it will. Not everything will be to everyones taste that much is obvious but everything deserves a chance at least no matter what.

But serioulsy whats the point stripey? Any time anything good about local bands appears you pitch in with your fucking boring negative views. anyway, The music scene in aberdeen is ok depending on what you like to hear. cocks like stripey dont really know what theyre on about. Good bands you should check out are My Minds Weapon, Contra, Nero, Black Atom, Turning 13, Fester(if your lucky enough), The Excerts(again if your lucky). But as i say it depends on what you listen to.

I think last night was one of the best gigs ive been to in a while! For everyone who moans that people dont stay down the front for gigs nowadays should have been there last night there were as many people watching from the start to the finish and they were all down the front. thanks to everyone who was there you were all brilliant. As for the music i thought all the bands were really good last night. Crashdown were awsome hope to see them again, 5 finger discount were good as well although i really dont like the covers get rid of them guys, and Broken sunshine played really well last night i thought one of their best gigs ive seen. how you played the last song i will never know but well done!!!! DEESC!!!!!!!!!!!!

why does rock djing not count? Mixing two records with decks isnt that hard anyway. Granted that the more complex stuff, like knowing when and where to cut the bass and using the mids and trebles in the right way, does take time and effort. but as has been said when mixing rock music that just isnt possible most of the time. what with different beats time signatures and all that. Surely these guys have as much right to be called djs as the guys who play sets in drum and Kef everyweekend its just a different style of the same thing isnt it?

So then are people without thoses views not welcome then? Again im not trying to be cheeky, i think this is one of the best threads ive read on here for a while, ive learned a lot but i would like to know if punk is for people who only believe in leftist/anti-authoritarian views? cause thats what you seem to be saying to me.
