  1. Watched Ninja Assassin last night. Thought it looked good, but would be shit. I was happily wrong. Some pretty good action sequences and while the Wachowskis used the same "Soul Calibur"esque trails for ALL bladed weapons as they used for V's knives in V for Vendetta, as well as the same blood effect CG, it was more than watchable. Pretty good actually, only let down by one bit where they give in too fully to the desire to take things a bit far late in the film.

  2. Top three IMO would have to be:

    1- Dexter

    2- Entourage

    3- The Unit

To be completely honest, not that many other American shows have really grabbed me, although I've yet to watch The Wire and Deadwood, which I've been assured I'll enjoy. Didn't include any sitcoms, because they tend to be good one week, shite the next, but Two & a Half Men would have to get a nod.

  3. Holy shit that was terrifying. I spent about 10 minutes clicking "Next" and it was just cock after cock after cock. I reckon I saw about 60 different cocks before I just gave up.

Could've been worse - you could've had your cock out too, hoping to see some tits. Two guys with their cocks out, staring at each other on webcams... (presumably) not pleasant

  4. Found out my dad's more of a legend than I thought - after telling me well over a year ago that he really liked the heavy shit-mix CD I left in his car, I started giving him various bands to listen to. After adding Spineshank, Soil and Pantera to his list of new favourite bands, I gave him all four Slipknot albums a couple months ago. When I told him today about Paul Gray, he seemed genuinely disapointed and proceeded to tell me how much he likes the first three albums - and how he loves the fourth album so much it pisses my mum off when in the car unless Snuff or Vermillion Part 2: Bloodstone mix is on. Hero.

  5. Having to drive across Aberdeen today - using my own petrol - to pick up a barrel of chemicals for work, only to drop the bastarding thing onto my finger, crushing it and giving me a throbbingly painful fingertip.:swearing:

Worked out alright tho - had ten minutes of my shift left when I got back so just fucked off and went home early. Every cloud...

  6. Visually it looks incredible. I've not had a go on it though. Just seen the missis play it. The slow-mo shooting thing looks ace. It'd be good if they did that for the driving+shooting missions on the next GTA, whenever that'll be.

The mate I mentioned who worked for RealTimeWorlds said Rockstar offered to buy their game, APB, and just rebrand it as the next GTA, so guessing they haven't made much progress with their own.

  7. I'd never heard of it until a few weeks ago, but when I started watching it - I had to watch from start to end (or up to date). Breaking Bad is a must see!

It's basically the guy that plays Hal from Malcolm in the Middle as a chemistry teacher who finds out he's got lung cancer and is going to die so starts cooking crystal meth to leave money behind for his family.

The only other one of these programs I've watched is Lost, which I'm still up to date with.

Breaking Bad - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Saw one random episode of that - was pretty damn good

  8. Working on hot days. offices turn into ovens. Especially when the person I sit next to is some fitness nut, and has no body fat, so is always cold and is cranking the heating up to 30 degrees, and saying it's "freezing" when the windows are open. Some people just need a fry up or two down them, and to stop being a fucking jessie. When he doesn't get his own way, he sits at his desk with his coat and scarf on, huffing, and saying "I'm being the selfless one today by opening the windows", letting everyone know just how far out of his way he is going to make the rest of us not sweat fucking buckets. How nice of him.

I share this one - it's always humid at my work as well, so it becomes really draining. Been between 29 and 31 degrees all week there.

  9. Americans tend to fuck up any attempt to remake a British show for Yank audiences. Anyone seen the American Red Dwarf? Not to mention the damnable bastardisation of Life On Mars - was almost enough to make me dislike Harvey Kietel after he BADLY misplayed Gene Hunt.

  10. Oh, I completed Tony Hawks Underground, but I cheated on the last level. I couldn't keep up with Eric's line, especially when he's grinding on fucking telephone wires. So I used the anti-gravity cheat and just bounced around, which worked. I quite enjoyed the storyline too. It was like a soap. You sign for a team, you go pro, but get back stabbed by your best mate, with a show down against him at the end, to prove who is the best skater in their tinpot town once and for all. Gripping stuff. Much better than Level 1: Score 1000 points. Find a video tape. Collect the letters.

Well that's the plot spoiled for me now! Seriously tho, what's the need for plot in a sports game? With stuff like GTA, etc, the plot drives the game (when not taking refunds from prozzies with a chainsaw) and makes you wanna shoot a rocket launcher wildly into a crowd containing the bad guy all the more. Obviously, the RPG genre has some games a lot of people would otherwise give up on if the story wasn't great, but in a sports game? What's the point?

  11. I'm just shocked nobody's pegged it yet. It'd be the height of irony (and therefore likely to happen in this kerrrazy world) if someone posted up, for example, Danny Dyer, a day before he was found dead in an alley, coke still round his nostril.

  12. and about time too. Can't they just fucking text each other?

She can't be arsed teaching her 4.50 phone any words in predictive, and can't be arsed typing properly. Mind you, reading what all was put up this morning explains today's increase in texts... lol!

  13. A better one - wait till she's in the shower, and ask if you can get in to brush your teeth. Then with the cold tap running, slyly fill up a basin or jug with cold water, and then toss it over the top of the shower curtain. My girlfriend LOVES IT when I do that.

To be fair, I think a prank backfires when it reduces your chance of a good shag that night

  14. 2000 was the first time i was on it, then again in 2003, don't remember that at all. I would have been in new york when 911 happened but my dad had to cancel the holiday due to work and we didn't reschedule after the it happened.

I only remember because there was only a couple days between being on it. Think we went back mostly for Hulk tho - loved how it started

  15. The Sarah Connor Chronicles was actually really good for the first season, but they faffed around with a ridiculous arc during the second, culminating in a terrible ending. Probably them ceasing to care, knowing it was being cancelled. Should've gone out strong.

Still think The Unit was VERY watchable. A really good show, Mack being THE MAN! Not seen anything beyond season 3 though.
