  1. No, really. Soup. Chicken and Sweetcorn on Monday.

EDIT: I'm the guy that sells soup in a cafe and I totally love it. People like soup. Its not surprising really as its delicious.

Any jobs going? I love soup and I need a job. You'd be bowled over by my work ethic and I really need the bread.

  2. Todd Rundgren's Utopia - Todd Rundgren - Spotify - Todd Rundgren's Utopia. Awesome prog-rock. I'm not a prog-rock fan, but this is really good.

Mourning Golden Morning - ef - Spotify - Mourning Golden Morning by Ef. Beautiful post-rock from Scandinavia.

Blue Record - Baroness - Spotify - Blue Record by Baroness. Opens like a Queen record, jams like Sabbath. Metal without being shit.

The North End - Joie De Vivre - Spotify - The North End by Joie de Vivre. The Promise RIng meets American Football. One of my favourite records of last year.

It Takes A Nation Of Assholes To - This Moment In Black History - Spotify - It Takes A Nation of Assholes to Hold Us Back by This Moment in Black History - Noisy, spazzy punk rock kinda like PMFS.

  3. I've just finished Battlestar Galactica. I have questions for people who have watched it.

    A. Is 'The Plan' worth getting?

    B. Where do I go from here? What other sci-fi series would you recommend that is on par with BSG? I feel like there's a big cylon-shaped hole in my heart that needs filled.

    Firefly.

    Space: Above and Beyond.

Look out for Falling Skies which airs this year - YouTube - Falling Skies Trailer

  4. I thought V for Vendetta was an alright film, until I read the book which is a bajillion times better.

Maus is also excellent, in a "really fucking harrowing and you'll probably cry" sort of way but given the subject matter I think that's only to be expected.

I read Maus when I did English in 2nd year. Wonderful read.

I get The Broons or Oor Wullie every year at Christmas from my folks. Haven't read this years edition [last years edition?] yet, but it's on my rapidly expanding 'to-do' list.
