  1. Same problem with Element 106.

We have IMHO got our shit together and are writing our best stuff and a lot of people have told us that we sound way better than Neon days (thank god). I reckon our song "Killjoy" on our Myspace is damn fine however, nobody really gives a shit.

Pretty much the reason why we are not playing Aberdeen again this year and working with a promoter who can hear the potential in our music.

I know were not heavy/fast enough to get musical respect from the folk who like stuff like Uncalm, Bonesaw (who are very good bands) etc and also our past efforts are shite so really it's out of Aberdeen or split-up for us.

    Ach well...

    Hog

Wayhey! It's great to play in your local city but when the prospect of playing constantly and not much else where to further yourselves as musicians and be heard is not great, such is Aberdeen, then what do you do?!?

Well done Hog, you just revived what hope I had for this place by recognising you need to move on. If nothing is stopping you and your determined then why not take that leap to the next level. Go to the promoters!

  2. Here's a fact.

PS3 has more problems and as yet unsolved ones more so than the Xbox 360. The fact that the 360 uses a simple system to identify the problems other than error messages has made it more noticable. I bet people didn't know that Sony while making a loss with PS3 are now also offering 3 years extra warrenty... no questions asked.

  3. looks like i just did.. but i know they are just ticking all the "BLS" boxes.. i get it.

The animosity was towards the "Everyone should move to London" pish ye was spouting. Not towards your Englishness. Well, as far as i'm concerned anyway.

The piss you gave a nod at, it happens, bands do it and have done for decades. I didn't mean 'everyone' like your mum and her dog. It's a place strife with promoters, scouts. And as I have learnt over the years and missed being signed 3 times is that people can not be arsed coming up to scotland - I'm lookign at you Gut Records you funts!

  4. Neither Ablach or Bonesaws logos are unreadable neither are their riffs incomprehensible; thats just my input to what Matt said.

And Baz you can't start slagging people off for what they wear now, we've had haircuts so far and animosity because we're from different parts of the same fucking island. This thread is ridiculous.

I hope we have all learnt something from it. I know I have. Gotta try some Tressm in my beard now!

  5. This thread should be left to rot now before any other arguements start up. It's not doing any good as anyones views or constructive comments just get shat upon by others who have different opinions.

  6. Imagine telling you I think you're making a tit of yersel after you calling Aberdeen a city of mongoloids - ideas above my station right enough.

When did I say Aberdeen is the city of Mongoloids? I had written - The City of Mongloids how did you interpret that was Aberdeen? And it was mongloids remember not Mongoloids which annoyed you so much you just had to open your mouth.

    I love forums...

  7. Well, aren't we the controversial one?

And what are you exactly, part of some kind of enlightened counterculture movement kind enough to share the intellectual wealth and some of your metropolitan sophistication with us inbred backwater-dwellers? Or are you just a jumped up tube who thinks he has the right to patronise anyone who's not from South-East England?

Anyway, the point of my original post stands - learn to spell mongoloid, you mong.

We as in you and me? Yet the context on which you ended... I have no quibbles with anyone, but someone who takes offense at the slightest thing is funny even if you admit your a mong. I havn't patronised anyone then, you admited it, I went with it. I'm not from the South East of England either.

The arrogance of your post and the down right picking some people get on this forum IN this thread alone is beyond belief. And people wonder why the music scene is in such a state with a community like this?

Mods do a great job but this thread probably should have been locked away long ago at first point it went off topic.

  8. Aye, all these gay-ass (pardon?) bands are far too into image. They should all have uniformly shit long hair like non-image conscious metal bands.

Are you? I'm nae a doctor or anything, but I would suggest that misspelling "mongoloid" in the location bit of your profile makes you appear less than fine.

    Yours,

    An Aberdonian Mongoloid

I thought that would get the attention of a mongo. This thread has been intresting and quite an eye opener.

  9. I'm the same, I just can't get the knack for it.

Does anyone know why vega can take off his mask and claw thing? Does it have any actual advantage to him to do so? ?(

He doesn't, when he recieves enough damage or only after a devestating attack do both come off. This has always happened since Street Fighter 2 although it wasn't until Alpha did the mask also come off.

If you feel you can't get to grips with the game or you are just plain rubbish I would recommend the training mode as it helps with learning how to pull off your moves at the best times rather than learning by experience against others.

To learn the moves use the Trial mode located with the challenges as they offer how to pull off your specials, super and ultra and whatever combos are available to your character.

I have always been a Ken/Ryu user. I prefer this style of fighting over fighters that require charged moves. Since Akuma became playable in SF2Turbo I have always used him. In every game he has been in he has required to be unlocked before use which is annoying.

Here's a list of similar fighters that use the same control method

Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Sakura, Dan, Gouken, Cammy, Dhalsim, Rose, Zangief, Gen, Fei Long, Abel, Seth, Sagat, C.Viper, Rufus, El Fuerte

And the other control method (charging) <- (hold), ->

Bison, Balrog, Blanka, Vega, E-honda, Guile, Chun Li,

  10. yup i hate how 99% of aberdeen bands are all about the hair cuts.........

There's nothing wrong with image, it's a big factor. I seriously doubt any band actually cares it's more doen to an individuals preference. No band sits down to discuss hair cuts... make up maybe.

  11. I have both and I hate my PS3.

All its good for is being a glorified dvd player.

Any games that are available on both formats is almost always better on Xbox360.

To keep on topic, Fallout 3 looks better on the 360 than ps3. It renders faster and at 1080p compared to the ps3's 720p you can't beat it.
