Why the fuck? Why no PC version. That is very ghey.
True, not even a whince of a pc version on IGN. There should be one for AvP seeing as that's where they spawned from initially!
-
After doing a bit of searching it is coming out for both.
It's gearbox that is developing it (or was) and Rebellion doing AvP as per.
US, January 7, 2009 - Gearbox Software has revealed that Aliens: Colonial Marines, its highly-anticipated shooter, is on track for a first quarter 2009 release. This word comes roughly a month and a half after Gearbox president Randy Pitchford denied the rumor that the game had been cancelled.
Regarding the game's reported "halted" development, "Aliens isn't canned," Pitchford said back in November. Late last year, Gearbox laid off several employees. Some news publications estimated that 15 to 25 employees were let go. Gearbox's most notable, recent release was Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. The WWII shooter was met with lower-than-expected sales.
According to videogamer.com, even though Gearbox confirmed a Q1 2009 release period, the company is not ready to announce the exact release date for Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Everywhere says TBA 2010, but at work its down for September PS3 only this year :S
-
No. Same developer but and is still pencilled in for this year but reports were that they postponed production a while back for Colonial Marines when the reccession was at its worse and made studio cuts. However for some reason there may only be a PS3 version or timed exclusive on it, why I don't know!

I can't stress how much I am anticipating this since AvP2 as any fan would be of the movies* and the games.
*when I say movies I mean the standalone ones, not the horrific AvP movie franchise.
Today a teaser trailer was released, along with some screen shots!
Sega's publishing mumbo jumbo
"On planet BG-386 a colonist mining group discovers an ancient pyramid containing a dark and horrible secret. Across the stars a race of warriors is alerted to the discovery of their pyramid and a hunting party is dispatched to ensure that it remains sealed at all costs, whilst deep inside the ruined pyramid a malevolent intelligence awakes from centuries of dormancy.
The Marines story is an incredible fight against the odds, and the horrors lurking in the dark. Beset on all sides yet armed to the teeth, the Colonial Marine represents humanitys last stand with the firepower to fight back.
As the Alien, players will discover what its like to be the most murderous and lethal creature in the universe, with the ability to traverse any surface with awesome agility in order to get close enough to unleash its deadly teeth and claws.
A master of the hunt, the Predator grants the player a suite of exotic weaponry and equipment with which to stalk its unknowing prey. Earn the greatest honour by ambushing prey up-close and butchering them for a gory trophy kill."

I didn't post in this thread until after all of his posts. So unless he predicted exactly what I was going to say, I don't see how you can justify his "arrogance" in this thread due to "guys like me" (which was a comment that was clearly aimed at me).
But maybe he just likes gash bands like Avenged Sevenfold. And who am I to stop him?
For me to point out better bands would be both patronising and arrogant, as that would be to assume that the bands I like are objectively 'better' than what he likes (even though that clearly is the case because I don't start political debates on Avenged Sevenfold, who are complete toilet, as everyone else has already established in this thread).
I meant guys like you again in general, involves everyone.
And anything is remotley better than Avenged Seven Fold.
-
Did you start a 'political debate' about that band and then tell people to deal with your opinions though?
No I don't recall I did. What a funny question. Again his youth shines through his second post being that we would have to deal with that fact he likes the band when clearly no one else does. He's young, he's defending his thoughts and what he likes. Sure he'll be arrogant and who wouldn't blame him with guys like you.
Point him in a different direction or perhaps get him to check out similar better bands.
-
for the record, it wasn't me who said his band were rubbish.
I meant everyone in general, that wasn't aimed at you. Sure we have all liked some band at somepoint that the masses all hated aswell.
-
Dear lord.
On the other hand, he's young, give him a break!

Only game I nearly had 1000 in was Fight Night Round 3, but in the Burger King match I was disqualified for headbutting. I was gutted.
Haha its a pain, one of those games you 'd have to start again to get it. Fight Night 4 is looking pretty good!

Thought I'd start a thread for those to discuss what achievements you are stuck on or require help with. What games would you consider easy to get points on and what game you are playing on just now?
Do you prefer story releated achievements or ones that require skill/luck?
I am working my way through Dead Space & Resident Evil 5. After thouroughly enjoying the game and story I have gone back to finish off the final achievements and get upto 1000. There are multiplayer achievements available now so I'm on the look out for a partner who wants to get the same achievements on team survival.
My List of easy-ish games finished in order of completion!
- Oblivion (1250), Call of Duty 2 (1000), Worms (200), Golden Axe (200), Condemned (970), Jericho (1000), King Kong (1000), NBA 2k6 (1000), Frontlines (1000), Bully (1000), Viking (1000), DoD (200), Fight, Night 3 (1000), Lost (1000), Silent Hill 5 (1000), Godfather 2 (1000), CSI - Hard Evidence (1000), Quantum of Solace (1000), Afro Samurai (1000)
I have many other games with over 800 score or those well over 1000 but not fully finished IE. Fallout 3 (1140/1350).
Got that one last achievement to get but just can't?

It's a dirty 1000 achievement points, pretty cheap to pick up now too. That's all I have to say about it. I've not played it and have never played any wrestling games on the 360 thus far as generally they have turned out all the same with just but a few presentational differences.
Also UFC is out this friday and again I have no intentions of playing that just yet. I don't see why everyone is ecstatic about the demo that came out because it feels and plays like any THQ game, slow and repetitive.

I think is what you meant.
Pwned.

To which band if you will are you reffering to presuming this is an Aberdeen band as you said in the first post?
-
I've done tours on that basis that if we're passing through , have a spare night and someone can book us in somewhere then it makes it worthwhile but thats not exactly a way to book your entire schedule!

Top notch!
