Taking up sport again is a classic empty resolution of mine. I keep on saying i'll go back to rugby but after 2 knee reconstructions and another operation on the way i know there is nae chance that will be happening. I do have a wonderful gut on me just now that needs slimming so maybe a completely new sport is is order. I would gladly take up ice hockey but it looks like (without investigating it) the cost could be prohibitive especially if i might not like it after i try it.

You're dead to me! Dead to me i tells ya! Unless you can actually get MG parts in which case we can be internet friends again.
-
note for all you car users, I'm a sales advisor at Euro Car Parts. Anyone needing parts gets an Aberdeen-Music discount!
Contact me on here or give me a phone on my direct dial number 524967
Do you do stuff for 1978 MG Midgets? It's the 1500 triumph engine and i usually buy from Moss but i wouldn't mind something a bit closer to home.

I've seen it through all it's incarnations. It's definitely looking great now!
Sadly, I know the spec off the top of my head so won't need magazines or anything for reference:
2JZ-GTE Twin Turbo engine mated to W58 5 speed manual box
BC coilovers
Workmeister S1 3 piece wheels (18x9.5 ET24 front, 18x11 ET22 rear)
All arches rolled
Blitz side skirts
Ridox carbon fibre boot lip
Shine Auto carbon fibre rear diffuser
RMM fibreglass front lip (was a Seibon TJ carbon fibre lip but it got damaged)
Facelift front and rear lights with HIDs at the front
Full leather retrim in Chili Red by Transcal in Livingston
**drool**
Has he had it on the rolling road?

Cool - I always fancied a Supra, but the fuel consumption put me off - I mean you can't just toodle about at 40mph in one of those, and you absolutely NEED the twin turbo versh!
If you're going to have a supra, you might as well go all the way! A friend of mine had the (twin?) turbo automatic supra and he was going through rear tires like nobody's business. Still, he tells me it was worth it for the smile factor.

It's a gorgeous car. What's he done to it to get it looking so good?
-
Scrap that, i can see it now. I think that might be the one, do you know who owns it?

Page 1 for HateEvent's. The white one.
Is the black one you mean this one...
?
My work is rather helpfully not allowing me to see that image, is there another way you can post it?

Series 3 lawnrover with an essex v6, 4 speed gearbox with overdrive and discovery diff's, military spec front and rear axles... beastin though its not seen a road for years as its in hunners of bits.
I ran another landrover a few years ago, it had a 3.3L perkins tractor engine. I did my B+E test in it, the instuctor told me it was the second most shite vehicle he had ever been in! It is really easy to wreck the gearboxes, the early ones have no syncromesh on 1st and 2nd, this one would only go into 1st if you slipped the clutch or were coasting slowly.
She looks glorious!

Loving the RS4 Paime! If I had the cash, I'd love to have an Avant model B7 RS4 to go with the Supra as it'd be ideal for getting gear to gigs and is more than pokey enough!
Nice idea with the Noble/TVR as well! I've never driven either so can't form full opinions on them! Always fancied a Tuscan though!
It was a lovely, lovely car and i was a fool to sell it
Where do you park your Supra? There's a gorgeous black supra that normally sits just off Dee Street and i think im in love with it. Show us some pics of your supra!

I know his first name is Edward, but he uses Tom for his stage name so
What evs!

Is that the Shelby 500? Probably one of the sexiest cars ever made. You can get some stonking yank tanks on ebay for cheapish bucks but i think driving a left hand drive on UK roads would be a bit of a hassle. You couldn't go to a macdonalds drive-thru for a start....
-
The slightly less exciting version of paime's car.
Still got 237bhp and its a good bit of fun, and reasonably economical, would love an RS4 tho. There was one on the forecourt when we went to buy the A4, should have had a test drive just for fun.
Is that the S4? They seem like a pretty decent all-rounder and you'll never go wrong with Audi engineering.

just scrapped my 3l v6 converted MR2 roadster for £75. 200bhp of mid engined, RWD, traction control-less convertible fun weighing in under 1000kg.
too many good times in that beast, shame it got fucked & left to rust.
Gutted for you! Did you take the engine out before you scrapped it? I loved my MR2, the driving position made you feel like a total driving boss and the handling was sublime. Would easily have another one but finding a rust-free example is tricky and potentially expensive.
I think i'll get rid of the beamer next year and maybe get something ridiculous. Im torn between a Noble M12 and a TVR T350 although i think the Noble might win it on reliability.

I hear what you're saying, Mr Austin but i just can't drag myself away from ridiculously fun cars. Unfortunately im driving a 3 litre Z4 just now which is a bit of a hairdresser's car but otherwise good fun.
This is my old RS4. I never should've sold it

remove the "great" and your nearly there! Hows about a Capri engined Series 3..... mines been in the shed for going on 5years now....
Have you got a capri or a series 3? My old man used to have a series 3 and i've got lots of great memories of it. My brother eventually inherited it as his first car and wrote off a mini and a fiesta with it (in two separate occasions, landy unharmed) before destroying the gearbox with his amateurish gear changes.
How on earth do you post pictures from you hard drive on this forum???
EDIT: I've worked it out....
EDIT EDIT: No i haven't....

It needed a little bit of TLC when i first got it but the parts only cost £50 and then it needed no more. The engineering is so simple and the engine bay so massive that there wasn't anything you couldn't do. Insurance was cheap, too due to it's low value and wee engine.
There are heaps of cheap cars you can get that are great:
Toyota MR2 mk1 (the mk2 ones are cheap, too but the turbos cost a bit more)
Landrover Series 2, 2a and 3
Renault Clio Williams
MG Midget / MGB V8
Even some yank tanks can be cheap. This one isn't so cheap but you know what im getting at: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1978-PONTIAC-TRANS-AM-6-6-V8-AUTO-T-TOP-CLASSIC-STYLE-/330842719522?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4d07c34522

The Muppets was a terrible movie imho.
I thought Lawless was pretty decent and Ed Hardy has generally won the Hollywood race this year with him performances.
I saw 7 psychopaths last week and thought i was alright, much better than expected.

What the fuck is in the boot? Looks like she's trying to pop a wheelie!
xx
This isn't actually my car, rather an image robbed from Google. I don't have any pictures of my beloved Even if i did i wouldn't know how to put them up on here.

Capri's are genuinely awesome cars. People used to wave at me and take pictures when i was stopped at traffic lights. It was a little bit tail happy, mind and i spun it a few times but luckily it was always on roundabouts and i managed to not hit anything.
EDIT: Oh god, it's a spinning capri....

A thread for car related stuff, such as estate and van porn.
I'll start this off with my beloved Capri 1.6 Laser. One of the most awesome cars i've ever owned and i should never have sold it. I'm definitely going to buy another one in due course. This, Mr Chris is proof that great cars don't have to be expensive; it only cost me £750

What's a catsmand dog? Is it a cross breed?
I was about to make the same joke but then i thought it was too obvious. Trust you to go for it...
On another note, all this taking the bus talk has reminded me how awesome cars are. Is anyone else into cars? Is it worth me starting a thread on the subject or will it constantly be trolled by the bus wankers on this forum? I know someone has a Supra on here but can't remember who.
Plans for the year ahead?

Maybe number 2 was the real reason number 1 didn't happen...?
