  1. i once had a dream about galaxie 500.. they played at my birthday party, but then my birthday party was attacked by terrorists.. and me and dean wareham had to go and hide under my parents' bed.
  2. BBC NEWS | England | Manchester | Anthony Wilson dies from cancer
  3. i discovered this band myself a while back... and i've been listening to 'love at absolute zero' loads on my way to work... there's something really more-ish about their sound. pity they broke up.
  4. sounds like the makings of a good horror flick.. ..are we all going to get lured to the abandoned dancehall for an IMP gig and then picked off one by one by some ghoulie?

  6. <<< "Legendary Japanese iconcolasts BOREDOMS, a visionary band who has spent over twenty years pushing itself toward new frontiers, will stage the most extraordinary concert of their career on July 7, 2007. A once-in-a-lifetime performance featuring 77 drummers, and meant to be performed just once (on 7/7/07), BOREDOMS will create 77BOADRUM as a free show in the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park section of Brooklyn Bridge Park. Located directly on the East River and majestically framed by the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park section of Brooklyn Bridge Park provides an arresting stage for this audacious performance." ANYBODY IN NYC RSVP HERE, IT'S FREE 77BOADRUM >>> woah.
  7. can't wait to see more live lec-tronica... a return for si-cut-db. or schneiderTM maybe?
  8. oh and since you're going to the scotland game.. might be worth knowing that there are two scottish pubs in town... the highlander, which is just over the river from pont neuf metro station, and the auld alliance, which is by saint-paul metro station
  9. apparently dusseldorf has the world's (or europe's) longest bar.. which basically takes up one side of a street. might be worth checking out! as for paris: stay at the YHA on the edge of town if you value your belongings.. stay in any other hostel if you dont. with five of you it might be better getting a cheap hotel.. more privacy! the eiffel tower is boring and over-rated.. the best stuff is the things you don't have to pay for.. like walking round montmartre or ile de la cit. in the evenings don't go out at Bastille like everyone says.. better and more authentic nightlife at rpublique (get the metro to Parmentier and go down rue oberkampf) or around place d'italie.
  10. Colleen? long shot.. but i know she is playing a show in glasgow around that time.

  14. i'm flattered! i think most of the stuff on that demo cd is from the two e.p.s which are available on the lovely Serein netlabel. lots of other ambient/electronic releases there, and it's all free to download..
  15. five stars and two thumbs up, guys! tho.. you did get their myspace address wrong.
  16. stripey.. whenever i see your posts on this site, you are always moaning about the lack of creativity and originality in the aberdeen music scene... yet, when people actually try to come together and create something, you rip the piss out of them (badly). do you actually have a life?
  17. really? i thought they were disappointing last time around.. tracyanne was a real grump all the way through.. and they abandoned my favourite song!
  18. ahaha ignore him. sounds cool.. tho to be truly experimental don't you need someone on spoons and someone ripping it up on the comb-and-tissue-paper?
  19. ahh... looking forward to seeing Cinematic Orchestra again! their last trip to the lemon tree is still one of my favourite gigs ever!
