Seen them a heap of times' date=' never been as exited about a new band. The t break stage was amazing. not surprised though, all their gigs are like that. surprised word hasnt reached aberdeen yet, their only from down the road in dundee.

every one of their tunes makes you want to dance and generally go crazy.

Watch this space cause the view are on fire![/quote']

the view are definitely on fire!! just got a hold of their ep, last two in the shop

  2. i had an absolutely amazing weekend, almost every band i seen were great, heres my run down.

    Sat

The Rifles: fucking ace band, really like them, theyve got really good singles and they warmed up the crowd really well for being the first band on king tuts.

Guillemots: worst band of the weekend, wish i went to see wolfmother instead.

The Cribs: I love the cribs, basically the same set as they normally do but was really good as always.

Maximo Park: Great dancing by paul smith and the keyboard player, good laugh.

THE VIEW: Best atmosphere of the weekend, crazy dedicated fans, there gonna be massive. Tracks available at 2thumbs.com/forum

    Ordinary Boys: not exactly overwhelming

    Charlatans: same as above

Weller: caught his last two songs, town called malice was really good

Sunday: didnt get into the arena til about 3 as we went swimming

    Delays: great festival band

Maccabees: Very tight, i like this band alot

We are scientists: Tight and humorous as usual, 3rd time ive seen them this year (will be 4 by october)

Dirty Pretty Things: Amazing, 3rd time seeing them this year, love them so much, great set (although i wanted to hear france), caught gary's drumstick, adds to my collection of libertines/dpt memorabilia

Arctic Monkeys: About 8 miles away from the stage but they sounded good, good setlist

Strokes: quality, good choice of songs, knew every word to every song.

    Fratellis: insane, lost my shoes

The Who: wow, they looked like they were really enjoying themselves.

    Best new band: the view

    Best set: Dirty Pretty Things

    Best headliner: The Who

    Maddest gig: fratellis/the view

  3. Does anyone know what the scoop is with tickets bought on e-bay being rejected at the gate? I got mine on ebay' date=' and i've just heard on the radio that they ain't letting folk in, something about logging the ticket numbers that went through ebay. Don't know how they intend to police that, just wondered if anyone had any idea exactly what they're trying to do about it, and how i get round it. Will not be impressed if i get turned away!

    Cheers.[/quote']

you'll be alrite, the tickets numbers are not put on ebay so they wouldnt know

  4. i cant wait, actually cant wait, the line ups far from great but i love the camping bit, theres a bus load of around 60 of us going down, its gonna be ace. Im sure theres a few bands on their that u like and if u dont like the campsite theres something seriously wrong with you. Wish people would stop complaining, theres people willing to pay a crazy amount of money to go so count yourself lucky

  5. http://www.myspace.com/dryburgh

Steve Kicks tells me they're getting a double-page spread in the NME next week. Not my kind of thing but I was still quite impressed. I would imagine they were a lot more sober when they recorded the material on myspace! Kids...can't handle their juice!

mite purchase their ep then before it sells out and ends up on ebay for a ridiculous price

  6. I thought it was pretty decent like' date=' although I thought their stuff on myspace sounded better than it actually did live.

I was impressed by the support band too.[/quote']

yeah the support band were good, whats the view's myspace link, i couldnt find them
