  1. what a great gig, i know people are gonna come on here and say the rioting spoilt it but it never. And the little scuffles were not down to the bands fault at all. They look more like a band with their stand in mick rather than patrick walden. They came on at a decent time aswell to. Met pete before the gig as i gave some of his friends a lift to the music hall. He wasnt too wasted but he never smelt very nice. Thought the song choices were superb and put together well. Couldve got backstage but would anyone really want to go backstage with all them idots that hang about with him (trust me they were idiots), met a guy who called himself johnny headlock and another one called dynamite? All in all was a good night, got an exam in 9 hours so better get studying

  2. no sure they are queing....probably hoping to meet pete

yeah there forming an orderly queue outside the main door, if they were there to meet pete you would think they would stand out the back or the side where the bus parks, idiots, im not gonna head down til about half 8 i think. Really wish i could drink but better not if ive got an exam at 9am

  3. kill city were decent. We told lisa moorish she had to come to aberdeen' date=' she was well impressed we made the trip to glasgow haha

In a way i kinda hope that the gig is cancelled. When i last saw them they were amazing but i fear it might not be the same tonight. I would love it if pete sorted himself out but i really dont know if that will ever happen. He needs to get out of the limelight for a while[/quote']

totally agree, not too bothered if its cancelled, got an exam at 9am 2moro so maybe its the best thing, its not as if he'll never play near aberdeen again (unless he od's ofcourse)

  4. yeah they were on top form at the barfly' date=' alan mcgee was cool and lisa moorish was really nice. She danced with us and chatted for a while and was well impressed we came down for the gig.[/quote']

seen alan mcgee walking along belmont street last week, was really cool and told us alot about dpt. Did anyone see kill city, just caught the end of them, glas vegas are cool, they supported them the last time but they have awful haircuts. Really wish i went to the barfly, remember first time i met carl, was after the nme gig with arctic monkeys and co, was a pleasant surprise when i walked in and carl and gary are standing there. Also its a great day when talk about carlos is taking over a babyshambles thread  .

Latest news, babyshambles are playing their gig in edinburgh as we speak so heres hoping

  5. I purposefully have as little to do with this person as possible' date=' so maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong...

His band have a record label's support - Rough Trade?

Which means basically he is being 'paid' by them - technically he is their responsibility.

If they are responsible for his welfare then surely they are duty bound to get him out of the public eye, and into a treatment programme to help him avoid killing himself and others.

I get the impression they are singularly failing to do so. Instead he is a product to them - increasing his marketable ratings with every seedy exploit. He's a mangy dancing bear, being prodded by a moronic public, and his owners should be prosecuted for not leading him to safety.[/quote']

babyshambles dont have a record company anymore but yeah you're right, babyshambles had the worst manager ever

  6. hes a fucking idiot and a complete junkie, yes that you cant argue with. However ive never felt more strongly for a band than the libertines and up the bracket was a hugely important album for me, i didnt listen to it coz the nme said so (if anyone can remember when it was released it got 7/10 i think and the nme never even talked about the libertines). He writes great lyrics and yes he is a great poet (theres no rules to say that poets cannot start a band tho). As for this incident and any other incident hes been doing lately it is completely unacceptable. However when he pulls himself together he is great live.

  7. i got sent their CD for review last year. I think I wrote something like "Not my thing but I could see these being big in the next couple of years". I am a genius.

to be fair theyve been talked about for about a year now and their demos have been online since about october

  8. bumped into rowan today and he's well wanting to go.

  9. I fucking won 1.

Personally I think Edmondsw is a pretty good host' date=' I can't see anyone else doing a better job on Deal or No Deal, he just needs to get a decent haircut, it's not 1980 any more noel, and you're not Ken Barlow.[/quote']

    noels hair is ace!!

  10. I mean this in the nicest possible way to all of u who like babyshambles but really come on for sum1 to turn round and say it will be best nite of ur life is way way over the top cause face it there extremely bad live and as for pete he needs to get a grip' date='hes just a junkie who struggles to make it to any venue so dont be surprised if he dosent show again[/quote']

who said it would be the best night of their life? have u actually seen babyshambles live? comment on something you know like lostprophets, coz there ace
