  1. Nice one both of you!!! No need to get up at the crack of dawn now. Only need Kula Shaker Tick Now and i'll be sorted. Anyone going down to the free Boro Music Fest?
  2. Tickets Does anyone know where tickets will be available from? I would imagine the box office will have? Whats with Aberdeen suddenly getting all these great bands coming up to play here, it isn't as if Aberdeen has changed venue wise recently.
  3. The Shambles Yeah true enough marc. If i were to compare the two gigs the one at Moshulu was miles better as the crowd was more crazy and the venue was tiny which made for better connection between the band and the fans ( the real ones that is and not the fannys that come to the bigger venue gigs with their boyfriends or girlfriends or worst stiil there parents) oh shit that'll start a war of words
  4. new songs Yeah i loved the new songs which was a pleasant surprise as i just expected album stuff to be played along with a couple libs songs. Would have loved them to play some b-sides and the first single Babyshambles. Was i being greedy? I think so
  5. the shambles Yeah it sure was an eventfull night but loads of fun. Whoever set off the fire alarm was obviously trying to get the band some bad press but totally failed. Yeah after hearing byres story about pete earlier during the day (that he was totally pie eyed) i feared the worst for the gig but he seemed pretty focused on the job in hand and played a storming set. stage invasion near the end was well funny and the guy who jumped the balcony during the fire alarm. UP THE SHAMBLES!!!!!!
  6. top three gigs Oasis AECC 95 (First Proper Gig) Babyshambles Moshulu Sep 05 (Three encores has to be praised) Larrikin Love 06 (Support to The Zutons and blew me away)
  7. oh yeah bumped into rowan today and he's well wanting to go. what a week in store. Aberfeldy -Wednesday The Zutons-Thursday One Big Weekend-Saturday then Babyshambles on the 22nd Again get UP YA!!!!!
  8. Tickets came in this morning for the Saturday. well chuffed, bring it on!!!!
  9. mr woomble this should be amazing!!! idlewild are one of my fave bands.
  10. For those who have heard the new Dirty Pretty Things album what are peoples opinions on it. personally i love it. lots of energy throughout the album. haven't decided yet on a comparison to Down in Albion. feel free to post your opinions on both.
  11. Not sure if this has been posted on here already but thought i should do the polite thing and post this link anyway. enjoy http://peteandcarl.clicdev.com/f/index.php?act=idx
  12. What a night yeah had a great night. good to see that some bands actually encourage the crowd to interact and get involved, rather than just coming on , playing then fucking off. crowd was fuckin nuts up front with me ross hindu and everyone else who was there. more of the same in future please!! respect to rowan for braving the stage and having the balls to have a bash on guitar, would have been absolute quality if he had played an entire song with them. never mind rowan there's always next time.
  13. fuck yeah should be a good one. reading line-up thread pretty quality!!!
  14. nice one nice one think i'll go to this one. anyone else miss out on weekend ticks for TITP. was about fifteen folk from being served when they sold out. GUTTED seems appropriate to describe how i felt. nevermind, where there's a will there's a way.
  15. one to look forward to oh fuck yeah this one is gonna be amazing!!! should sell fast!!
  16. on second thought Was gonna be a twat and say Arctic Monkeys but i'm a tad bored of them already plus i've prob got all the tracks anyway from the forums and stuff.
  17. artrocker just bought the magazine and i must admit it is a tad lame. CD is pretty good and pin badge is a little bonus. much better than any of the last few offerings in NME.
  18. cheers nice one dude. off to get a copy soon.
  19. dodger check u out u scammer. fits your name gary weir? i got one for free from a friend so i won't be needing one
  20. the automatic Holy shit this is a heated topic. But fuck it i agree with Rowan and Marc as 1. There my mates and i know they have good taste in music. and 2. i'll give any new music a fair go and if it's shit then fair enough i won't listen to it again but if you stumble upon a good band with good tunes then you've scored. listening to music should be a progressive thing , not just listening to the same CD time and time again. i'll be going to that gig for sure.
