  1. Well' date=' the big day is here. I've been breaking out into a massive smile every time I think about the fact that we're in the Champions League Final. Not to mention the shivers that go up my spine!

I expect it to be a tight affair but I know that we can win this. Why not, eh? A.C. Milan have so much quality but with a midfield that includes Garcia, Gerrard, Alonso, and Hamann, we can give them a run for their money.

My fathers been in Istanbul since Sunday. I'm still waiting for a smug game day phone call!

Just over 8 hours to go. I can't wait. Time to start getting ready.[/quote']

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/4565043.stm liverpool have no chance, its a shame we will have to wait another year for a british team to win this trophy.

  2. I know ! It sounded stupid to me too, but i checked these snes collector sites and priced my stuff accordingly, the games alone are worth close to 50 apparently. So my deal is quite cheap in comparison-

    off of http://stores.ebay.co.uk/SNES-International_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZQ2d1QQdptZ0QQftidZ2QQpZ3QQtZkm

    Equinox- 13.99

    NBA jam-3.99

    Vortex -8.99

Rise of the robots-4.99... you get the point

and the console- 45.00 at http://www.consolepassion.co.uk/super-nintendo-consoles.htm

    So 50 is pretty good.

  3. Just realised i need to sell some stuff before i move.

Selling a boxed Super Nintendo, one controller, and all the leads and instructions in very good condition. Also included are 7 damn good games, although quite rare and unheard of.

. Starwing (manual, no box)- aka the original starfox game, prob the best game ever on the snes, and the 3D graphics are not bad considering the age.

. Rise of the Robots (boxed, manual) - decent 3D fighting game, quite rare.

    . NBA Jam (boxed, manual)

.Vortex (boxed manual)- crazy robot 3D game, rare and good fun.

.Unirally ( manual, no box)- Addictive 2D monocylce racer, weird but great.

. The lawnmower man (boxed, manual)- based on the movie, platformer, rare.

. Equinox (boxed, manual)- zelda style rpg, no idea how i found this one..

Looking for around 70, but flexible.

.Also i am selling a well used Birdhouse Tony Hawk signature deck- 7

.And a full set up Flip Rowley deck, with Tensor trucks, spitfire wheels, and lucky bearings. Used but still pretty good condition, dunno about the price.. prob cost about 100 new so maybe 35.

I will be reasonably flexible on the prices, just drop me a pm if interested,

    Cheers

  4. I am a huge blues fan, i usually go to the Blue Lamp to see live blues, which is a nice venue. However it would be nice for another venue to showcase some local talent as well as attract some younger audiences.

  5. Fair question, from what i have heard about this type of rock, it has been sometimes classed as 'disco rock' because of the long winding guitar riffs, and Ian Brown's unique singing. Although it is probobly more of a personal opinion, but here is a quote off their website - The first true recorded indication of the genius - I do not use the word lightly - of this band came in the form of their next single, 'Sally Cinnamon', a little gem, a captivating, spiraling utterly 'pop' single, doomed to ultimate failure because of being tied to an unworkable deal with a small record company but, nevertheless, the song that, in 1987, enriched a million indie discos, softened a thousand cynics.

I am a stone roses fan in any case, i was just saying how so many bands these days are trying to emulate them, and how they are all in that disco rock category, in my opinion.

  6. blues in aberdeen has no future its sad :(

I dont think it is just Aberdeen, its just in general Blues is pretty quite at the moment, what with the new found interest the public has for the Franz Ferdinand craze, all these stone roses 'disco rock' bands have kinda stolen the attention.

I think it will just be a matter of time before some young artist shakes things up again, just like Stevie did in the 80's.
