  1. Not a top 10 but a selection of great films which I rate.

    In no order:

    Halloween

    The Omen (not remake)

    The Wicker Man (not remake)

    Spirited Away

    A Clockwork Orange

    Battle Royale

    The Devil's Rejects

    City Of God

    The Elephant Man

    Gangs Of New York

    Freaks

  2. Its a very clever marketing ploy to get geeks like me to buy it.

Darth Vaders in the PS3 version.

...and in the 360 version it seems. Some internets site has hacked it and found he is on the disc. No doubt namco will put him up as dowloadable content a month or two down the line for a premium price.

  3. Can your created character use a lightsaber?

I havn't tried it yet but I'm assuming you can. You allocate preset 'styles' to your creations which are all based on the characters in the game, then you can unlock weapons for each style. I shall check tonight and confirm if this is the case for the force users.

  4. To be honest Yoda just shouldn't be in it. He is crap to play as, crap to play against and doesn't fit into 'stage of history'. The apprentice character is even more annoying to play against, as he is a cheap cheating bastard! However is quite fun to play as, but again suffers from sticking out like a sore thumb.

  5. It's absolutely amazing, and if I were not working then I would be at home playing it now! If you liked any of the other titles in the series then it's worth a buy. It doesn't introduce any major new features to the series (apart from online play) but everything is polished and the graphics are absolutely stunning. It also holds the honour of having the most acomplished character creation mode I have ever seen. I'v already made Raiden from Mortal Kombat to add to my character roster!

  6. Those of us who live in the 21st century however are more used to watching films in 1/4 of the screen while carrying on with other activities, perhaps that goes some way to explaining why you still take cheap entertainment like this so seriously.

So now your admitting that you don't actually watch films, but just have them in the background while you do other things? o_O

Your petty arguments loose more credibility with every post. Hand over the spade son.

  7. OMG WTF!

hollywood releases massively hyped film based on boring, played out 1940s comic book franchise in an attempt to squeeze every last fucking penny out of it in lieu of actually funding creative, original, interesting films, and millions of sheeple obligingly flock to the cinemas to pay to watch it.

nothing to see here folks, run along now but mind you don't step on the corpses of the tossers who went to see Ironman and died of coke and popcorn poisoning on your way out.

Stripey in 'doesn't like the mainstream' shock. I presume you went to see it today since you seem to have formed an opinion on it?

  8. I'm fed up of the Heath Ledger for an Oscar hype before I even see the film.

I can't help but think the sympathy vote is being employed here.

I'm a cynical bastard and have been thinking the same thing. Untill watching it today. Ledger's Joker is possibily the BEST movie maniac I have ever watched. Just go and see the film.

  9. I make my own pizzas and they shit on anything I've ever eaten in Aberdeen and cost a couple of quid to make each. Plus you get the added boost of not getting dodgy meat toppings (ala dominos).

Amen to that! I love snappy, but the other half doesn't. She likes PHD but I'm not keen on them. Pizza hut is a happy medium for us. Never had a bad pizza, and can always get B.O.G.O.F. so it isn't too expensive, but homemade beats everything!

  10. Just as a counter point to all this anti clutter propaganda, we sold out flat around 18 months back and although it was tidy, I had hundreds of video games, dvds and cds on my shelves, and it sold in under 24 hours and there was still people phoning for a good couple of weeks after for viewings. Obviously the market is different now, but I wouldn't say that you have to make your flat like a dental surgery for it to sell.

  11. Seriously though...what has he done since? Fantomas did nowt for me.

Did you not enjoy the Fantomas album 'The Directors Cut'? I think it's absolutely amazing. A second vote for Tomahawk here as well. The last album was in a class of it's own. Peeping Tom is also first class, and less challenging than some of his other work.

Personally I would speculate that it would be Fantomas doing the touring, as Tomahawk didn't even record the album together with Patton doing his sections seperatly. As for Peeping Tom, most if not all the tracks have guests, so this would seem not the most practical tour.
