  1. won't work. I've been trying to get a fuck buddy for ages and it doesn't work either. people only want one night stands these days. (though i wanted a relationship with someone and got occasional sex- he had a huge willy though  ) (and no that doesn't mean anything' date=' of course!...I would have preferred it if he had his tongue pierced)

sorry, i'm procrastinating, hence taking this opportunity to tell you about my sex life or lack of

    Have a nice AIDS!

  2. One assumes that any legalisation would take production out of the hands of those already engaged in the illegal drug trade.

Therefore what is to really stop them' date=' or people associated with them, purchasing legal drugs, cutting them and selling large quantities of 'cut' drugs at a price just below that of the legal stuff?[/quote']

Would you buy a new car from a shady guy in a pub, or would you go to a reputable car dealer?

  3. I love Tri-Sonics. Love the sound and feel of the original 60's pickups - thick' date=' full of warmth, high output, low impedance... But sadly, the Burns Re-Issues (made by Kent Armstrong) sound totally wrong. They're similar yes, but their impedance is too high, and I lose my favoured high-end sounds. So glad was I that I found Adeson Tri-Sonics - they make Tri-Sonics to the original 60's stats

I would seriously recomend them as something to be considered by those of you who are looking for a cheaper way to give your guitar a new sound, as Adeson Tri-Sonics are available from only 28!!!

  4. I do believe that the Vox Tonelab Stage Edition is perhaps the current greatest floor-based amp modeling/digital effects unit in existance. Surpasses even the Line6 Pod. Set out plainly' date=' easy to use... Got to be insane not to know the greatness of such a product.

Configured by professionals so that it sounds virtually identical to the original amps modeled, and forget the Harmony-Central user reviews of it being purely digital. Only thing digital about it is effects units and the digital screen display. Transistors don't make something Digital, Transistors make something solid-state.

Maybe I'm just Bias - being a massive supporter of Vox Amps. I'd kill for an AC30...[/quote']

This sounds strangely like a sales pitch...

  5. It is ridiculous to compare the eating habits of humans with that of animals. Non human animals eat flesh as they must. They do so instinctively. They cannot consider as we can.

You don't think humans have the instinct to eat meat too? Sure, animals bred for food should be treated humanely, but there's nothing wrong with eating them.

  6. best thing to do is go into a shop and ask for a hands-on demo really...it certainly has good oscillators and a decent filter, for making bass sounds, the only limitation to be aware of is that it only does 4-voice polyphony.

"External audio can be vocoded and/or processed through the filter, effects and EQ via the included microphone or standard 1/4" stereo inputs."

    thats a very nice feature!

SAN ANTONIO -- Forget about PlayStation 2 - a Texas entrepreneur wants to kick computer gaming up to the next level by offering players a chance at some real-live killing via mouse and modem.

John Lockwood, who's already hooked up guns to the Internet to let faraway users shoot targets on his Texas ranch, is set to let fans shoot live game through his Web site, live-shot.com.

Lockwood's device is simple: a .22-caliber rifle mounted on a "pan and tilt" mechanism of the type used to mount security cameras. Attached to the rifle are cables and wires that connect it to a computer.

Two cameras are also hooked to the device. One pans the ground in the rifle's firing field; the other is attached to the rifle itself and lets users aim and fire.

The price will range from $60 to $75 an hour, with the camera and rifle pointed at a game feeder set up to attract animals. Deposits are also required for dressing and taxidermy services.

Killing something will cost extra. "A feral hog might go for $500, a black buck or axis deer for $1,500 to $2,000," Lockwood said. "But there's nothing additional if they don't take a shot. I can't guarantee that an animal will come by during their time."

guns attached to the internet, what a great idea!

  8. As "Doc" said, mastering is post-mixdown treatment of your tracks, to acheive a polished and consistent sound before committing the mix to vinyl/cd/whatever media. This typically involves multi-band compression/limiting and EQ, applied to the whole mix, rather than individual elements such as the drums, guitar, vocals etc, and also takes into account the limitations of the media the music is destined for - for example, vinyl has physical limitations which can result in a record which will skip on playback, and badly "mastered" tracks can even damage the cutting head during production.

"Loudness" is generally sought after these days, and is acheived by the use of limiting, but comes at the expense of dynamic range. If you compare the waveforms of a good classical music recording, and a contemporary pop record, you can see just what damage can be done to your music when you try to get it "as loud as possible".

So yeah, mixing and mastering is an art in itself, it's best left to a professional, but you better have a good sound engineer in the first place to acheive a good recording and a balanced mixdown, because, as they say, you can't polish a turd.
